Wow, cut them some slack on the schedules. OPL actually has group play to factor in. The other state tournament only has an average of 2 or 3 team for an entire age group. Hmmmm.. Guess we'll schedule group A/qtr/semi/final all in the same day, or we can schedule warmups in Saturday and play on Sunday.

Give OPL a break because they have more teams playing. even though this is one of the leading complaints and reasons for leaving OYSA .. ie bad scheduling and not knowing and yada yada. Point being how quickly we become complaisant when we want to believe.

Just saying it is quite a bit easier to schedule a Jamboree, and stating someone is just as bad as the old system really doesn't look to good. Basically admitting how bad it was. Plus, I'm guessing this was not the only reason clubs left. Have a good day!

I guess the irony of your quote was lost on you. Good day to you too!

I find it very funny in your original reply that you say scheduling was one of many top complaints for clubs leaving. You admit again how bad it was, not just with scheduling. Have fun scheduling your picnic.... I mean state cup, and keep posting. You only continue to validate why OPL exists today (better option). I'm having a great day !!!!!!! Thanks.

Precisely the reason that we play for Crossfire. OPL is great for the majority but doesn't have any more of a top tier than OYSA. Both of you can enjoy your picnics.. I mean cups

Wow, you rock. Your crossfire t-shirt along with $5 will get you a big venti mocha at Starbucks.

Hmm, your math is a little suspect...Maybe you are just talking about the girl's side? Looking at OPL it is amazing how many clubs they have two or three teams at an age group from. I guess if you want to play the premier, silver, and bronze teams from a club you can, but it hardly seems like a premier level tournament.

It is also interesting to note, the OPL notice went out from Angela that all OPL teams were expected to play in the OPL state cup. There have been a few examples of DOC's (John Bain) allowing teams to choose where to compete. What happened with all the clubs that are not a part of the "great eight"? They do not have a DOC to represent their interests. It appears they were just cattle herded onto the OPL list. Where was there choice?

It seems like a pretty serious conflict of interest since Angela would have had to transfer their information to allow OYSA participation.

                        Just Asking?

                          cross fire

addressed to the person playing for crossfire, more like misfire

Really looking at Seattle soccer unless you are in the DA the teams after U-15 really have fallen off.

Here is the NWCL results Oregon vs WA. And really the DA??? WSM U-16 beat the Sounders DA

                          BU11 - Crossfire 00 Black
                          BU12 - Washington Premier FC 99 Black

Have you ever considered that Seattle's top clubs may not consider NWCL to be a big deal? They have many more regional/national opportunities available. OPL seems to have done a remarkable job at pulling the wool over everyone's eyes and convincing them of the amazing level of play at NWCL. Your claim is the results above show a pattern of dominance, I would suggest instead they show Washington's youngest teams participating and getting bored with the competition as they get older. As they have better opportunities come up.

Crossfire does consider NWCL a big deal, especially at the younger age groups. The draw to Surf Cup is big for them as well. It's not an easy tournament to get into.

WA people assume that WA is so much better than Oregon. Oregon is 2nd for Regional team players for ODP. They are only behind Cal South. Where's WA?

Thats the problem. Oregon players are so scattered about and clubs so money hungry, they arent looking out for whats best for the kids, but rather they bank accounts.

Imagine since you lived in a certain zip code or geographic boundary, you HAD to play at a certain club at the very top tier ? and there were only just a few select clubs that could participate ? (kinda like ECNL)
