Unless that girl gets control of her temper, I see a future in orange county provided clothing for her.
A similar incident happened two years ago in Portland. The player was suspended and is now on her third OPL club and last year was dismissed from her HS team.

Let's give her more chances. Maybe she'll start bringing weapons? Quit giving thugs chances. Make sure she never plays organized soccer again. Kids 4 years old know the difference between right and wrong, she knows what she is doing.
Not that it makes it okay in the context of soccer or any sport as it quite simply is not, you have to wonder what her role models are. I can almost guarantee that this is a abused, neglected angry child with little hope of a good future. Sad.
On a lighter note, I have to hand it to the team mates for not turning it into a brawl because I betcha if it were boys a hockey game would have broken out.

Agree that it is bad for the sport , disagree about a teammate not stepping in and helping, watching her get a beating is sad. Sometimes you got to step up, sport or not. I would hope my daughter would come to aid of another. Not saying to harm but to protect.
I didn't see it but was told something similar (maybe not as violent?) happened last weekend at the Las Vegas Showcase to an ESUFC player. Some thug from a Houston, TX team threw blows and pulled hair. She was red carded & suspended for only one game and was allowed to play in our match. ??????? WTH .... she should have been sent home!
Even if the tournament didn't demand it the Houston coaching staff should have self imposed a harsher penalty. What kind of message are they sending by allowing a slap on the wrist for such actions? I'm amazed at the lack of morals and ethics these days ....
I believe that there should be very harsh penalties for this type of behavior as it could create a riot. I know if that were my kid I would be there as fast as my feet would take me and would not think twice about drop kicking the attacker which would likely lead to a full on parent brawl. I too am somewhat surprised that the team mates did not try to intervene. This is totally disturbing.
High school soccer is one thing (and not a pretty one at that) but I would not expect to find this in competitive soccer, at least more than once.

I agree .... fiirst insticts would be to "drop kick" the attacker. Clearly that only fuels the fire and validates the original action. Maturity and cooler heads must prevail as the actions of the lady in the video. She rushed to break-up the fight.
By the looks of the video this was not the attackers first punch ever thrown! She is a violent individual and needs to be held accountable for her actions. It doesn't appear she has in her past.
If it were my child that was attacked like this I'd take this to the hilt legally. Not financially mind you. I'd make sure this kid is prosicuted to the full extent and that her family is so burdened by her actions that she's put on a short leash. After all she's nothing more than a pitt bull on the loose.

The girl did look like she knew how to throw a sucker punch and it is very doubtful it was the first time. Something tells me that the parent of this child likely would't be phased by a legal action. This may be something that is just part of their life.
I would definitely press charges and I would want to know if the high school knew that the girl was prone to fighting. Just like students are supposed to maintain a minimum grade point to participate in sports they should also be required to meet minimal conduct requirements. She should take up boxing and maybe then she could get some of the anger out!!

When you are paying a lot of money to play, this type of behavior doesn't exist. But when playing is relatively free, then you get all sorts of people coming out. And by people, I include thugs, micreants, etc. I hope they file charges against her.
