    State pool breakdown

    40 total girls

I believe that 4 are goalies......

    7 from the east pool
    5 from the willamette pool
    2 from the southern pool
    26 from the portland/vancouver pools

so im thinking 2 teams of 18 field players w/ 2 goalies. Will you find out up front if you are A or B team? Just figure if your B squad, why pay all this money if you not going to get to play in regionals or tournaments.

Does anyone have any insite on how this process works? First timer. just wondering.

If your child is really outstanding, then they have a chance at A team. Otherwise, if you are politically connected somehow, then you have a chance at A team. Else, just consider yourself to be on the B team.

Last year there was two teams also. However several kids from the B team made the final roster for the regional camp. I think there was some shocked parents/kids when the roster came out and they thougt since they played on they A team the whole time they would be inleded on the final roster. If you have the talent they will find you. Work hard have fun control what you can. Come to camp in shape and out work everyone.

Or you can insure your child's place on the team by being a total suck up ass kisser. That seems to work for some folks.

Agreed. Not to mention that they will have 2 teams for all the tournaments except the regional camp. There will be a Portland 1 and Portland 2 team for the Friendship Cup. It will be an "A" and a "B" team. Like this poster stated many from the B team last year made in on the final regional camp roster.

                Any stand outs?

                  p1 vs p2

my game observation was that the Portland 1 (yellow) had a lot of front end and Portland 2 (orange) had a lot of defense. The bend team looked to have some players also, but they were scattered. i wonder if they set it up to see what the p1 offense would do with the p2 defense? 0-0 game......from the games i saw you take the subs out of the p1 and p2 teams and they would have rolled all the teams. there was not a lot of subbing in the p1 vs p2 game like in the previous games they played. i would have liked to see the p1 and p2 keep going if not for the rain.

Portland 1 controlled 75% of the game. The Portland 1 subbing was typical to what they did the entire tournament. The coach let each girl play 1.5 games each day.

The boy with the spikey hair was outstanding. And the one with the frohawk too.

You are missing the joke. The joke is on the one prodding to have some say who was outstanding. That's the dad (or kid).

Think about it, how many boys run around with frohawks or have spikey hair? A whole bunch. See, I just made every parent out there whose kid has spikey hair or a frohawk feel good by making them think I was talking about their kid. The funny thing is that I wasn't even there. I don't have a 99 boy.

But if it makes you feel any better, the boy with the brown hair, medium length, he looked better than anyone. Well, maybe the boy with the somewhat short blond hair, he looked awsome too.
