If this guy has such a vendetta against a rec club president and a classic club unrelated to his rec program then he needs to leave youth soccer. Obviously his heart and respect for youth soccer is not there. Don't they screen their representatives for mental issues?

Hi I'm Bill Kanable! I can't enable your kid to play on fields you pay for and here's why...
I've got this sweetheart deal working with the Timbers and by the way its me you can thank for giving them $900,000 of your hard earned taxpayer money (per the Oregonian)... That's right I gave a Zillionaire's son taxpayer money so he would not have to pay full boat for a practice field.
Now if I were to stop blocking your kids from playing on the fields that you so stupidly have been paying for and thinking you'd get to use them well ... What kind of politician would that make me???
Oh don't you believe all that stuff about me being on WSM's board (I am but you're not supposed to know it ) And by the way that rumor about 35% of WSM's kids being out of district that's just simply not TRUE (It's probably closer to 65% but you're not supposed to know that either)
I bet he wins in a landslide!!!
I looked in the Oregonian and cant find it...

The relevant quote
"The district, which is funded primarily by property taxes and program fees, will pay $900,000 of the cost, Menke said. Paulson would not disclose the Timbers' contribution."

Also from the article
THPRD general manager Doug Menke said the project would cost an estimated $4.2 million and would provide an estimated 2,700 hours of available field time for the parks district, which serves Beaverton and parts of unincorporated Washington County. The district, which is funded primarily by property taxes and program fees, will pay $900,000 of the cost, Menke said. Paulson would not disclose the Timbers' contribution.
If you don't like this then maybe you should have been more involved in your club, THJSL,THPRD don't forget, Beaverton city, BSD, Wash county. I don't always agree with the decisions our leaders are making, but I personally do not have the time, energy etc. to get involved. I do however try to be informed and do what I can to support my players team, club, school and at least vote. Overall this will hopefully be a postive thing for Beaverton and THPRD. Beaverton School District is hurting, maybe we should focus more energy in coming together than fighting. Time for some unity from the community?
If you have some solutions, get involved and help out. It will take time. BK and many have been the ones running the clubs and programs for years. I am sure they would like some help. What do we have to offer?

So here is a solution... You want to bring a Pro Soccer to PDX ??? I'm all for it!!! You want to take $900,000 of Taxpayer money that should go to kids in the district and give it to Silver Spoon Boy!!! NO I'm not on board for that... You want me to vote for you after you've done something so stupid... ahhhh NOOOO that aint gonna happen either
But I'm one vote...
But I have a feeling I'm not the only one who feels this is at best negligent or at worst criminal

Does anyone know when the fields are supposed to be completed? According to the article it was supposed to be done last summer. Make sure you read the article and get the whole story. I would like to see all the TH clubs work together and benefit. This is definitely something that needs to be discussed and addressed.
"Menke also touted the benefits to the local economy. "The opportunity to have local construction is a plus," he said, adding that those who use the facility "will buy gas, food and others things."
A key benefit of the facility to the Timbers is the grass field. Just four of the league's 18 teams (Portland, Seattle, New England, Vancouver) play on artificial turf, so growing accustomed to natural grass will be important for the Timbers.
"To have an exclusive grass pitch is something that we need," Paulson said. "We need that even at PGE (Park), but it can't be grass. We can't train on the same grass surface every single day."
The team looked at locations in Portland, Gresham and Vancouver before settling on the site in Beaverton.
"We've been working on this for more than (six months) to find the right field that works for us," Paulson said. "We wanted to do it so it could benefit the community and work out from a cost standpoint."
As part of the agreement, the Timbers will make an annual donation to the Tualatin Hills Park Foundation and will conduct a series of annual youth soccer camps and coaches' clinics at the new training center.
"What we have signed on for continues and expands our commitment to the community and our community service," Paulson said. "It's definitely a very good thing for us and it's a win for Beaverton as well."
Paulson said construction of some aspects of the facility could begin as early as next week and the entire project could be completed by mid-summer."

And charge the Timbers a fair value for leasing the field/building and it would probably pay for itself without depriving the kids of again $900,000 of taxpayer money...
I mean seriously they get $900 grand and they're gong to do some coaching clinics... Are you FRICKIN Serious????

Other clubs will be able to use it anytime after 11pm on weeknights and anytime after 12am on weekends
Of course the City of Beaverton and ol' Bought and Paid for Denny will pass an ordinance that you cant play rec or comp soccer within the city after 11:09pm so enjoy your time on the field carefully

So Beaverton THPRD residents are essentially paying for fields for WSM and Westside warriors.
Just look at it.... WSM pays Denny Doyle. This Bill Kanable is on the boards of both WSM and Westside warriors, as well as THPRD and THJSL. He is also the fields coordinator.
There is a lot of shady activity going on at the tax payers expense.

I'm all for bringing in people from outside the district to patronize, shop and eat in our district. Brilliant.
As a tax payer and business owner in the district, I'm digging this.
Who else can we attract to Beaverton and Washington County?
