No. Wrong, wrong, wrong. OPL is most definitely not fractured. WSM club and teams totally support and appreciate OPL. OYSA is imply another option for teams that want different competition. Although our team voted to do OPL, several teams are doing both, and obviously a couple decided just to do OYSA, this does not reflect or diminish what we feel about OPL. It is strong and will be even stronger come OPL State Cup and on from here. If anyone thinks that WSM is not there for OPL they are mistaken. Some teams are still old school, so apparently they want to get the OYSA thing out of their system.

For what it's worth, we were grateful that we had a choice and were glad to support OPL as their clubs were class acts unlike the OYSA propaganda. The red bold print on the OYSA sight does not reflect our attitude towards other clubs and other teams. OYSA is disrespecting all entries. Shame on OYSA.

We TOTALLY support OPL or whatever else will get us what we want.

Great players, great kids, but when Cony is the ODP Timbers coach, there certainly is the appearance of favoritism.

Kids were on the team before and others are not in that age group. Can't blame everything on Cony.

The clubs needed to stick to their decision and not support OYSA. If you notice the founding OPL has been very united except for one THUSC team and then the WSM debacle by it's bonehead leader.

Cost of OYSA State Cup

If OYSA can't give the "winners" an actual game in it's state cup, do they get refund or is OYSA so hard up for money that they will charge full freight for essentially nothing. There's lot of griping about money on this forum but the idea of paying $700 for one or no games really sits wrong with me.

We are OPL. I am glad that some are joining OYSA tournament. Since the OPL gives nothing towards ODP it has become outrageously expensive. Maybe this will bring some of the cost down. My guess is that the teams that are entering probably have a lot of ODP players.

Hater? OYSA and Chuck treated the clubs like crap for years like they had a monopoly (and they did). They finally did something about it and created another choice. From my perspective, it has been a good choice, not perfect, but better then there was before. The OPL is strong and will survive. Who knows what will happen with OYSA?

WSM is forging the path of a slippery slope. Other clubs will follow suit. It is just a matter of time until the OPL and OPC fold and all the big clubs return to the OYSA.
