CFC, yes. We were allowed to choose based on what we felt was best for our team. We will end up with teams in both. That's the way it should be at all clubs. Why would a club tell you what is best for your team?

Esufc
Man OYSA must really be hurting. ESU teams can do both. I have heard JR say it out lound "you can do OYSA state cup". ESUFC Liverpool won state, regionals, and nationals when everyother team was only OPL. The fact is ESUFC teams are playing OPL mostly because of time and money. They would have to pay for the cards, leuage and state cup when they have the opl state cup. They could use all that money to go to US Club regionals if they don't win the OPL state cup or another event.
It is called choices, and just because someone doesn't choose you doesn't mean they didn't have a choice.
Don't forget ESU, WSM are now part of the Timbers. The Timbers and GW are very much connected to OYSA, GW, JR and JB I am sure would let a team to OYSA, just why would they.

Nope
He made it very clear they will be doing OPL state cup, cost less. WSM is working on a budget, smart move. If a WSM wanted to raise all the money they could.
OYSA just put in pizza ovens, no delivery yet but soon.

No, LOSC. We haven't been given any informaton about the State Cups, possibly since our spring league is still in play.
I heard about this discussion and this discussion board today and have to say I'm a little taken back. Perhaps the coach or manager decided for our team.

Are you even going to US Nationals?

My daughters coach is Fraser and he let the teams decide. When presented with the info, we chose OPL.

Pretty obvious an OYSA employee started this thread and pretty obvious they are stacking the poll count. They must think we are stupid. Insulting! Not surprised though given their track record. We play at THUSC and we had a choice. We chose OPL. Much better competition and don't really care about regionals. See ya all at Surf! We already paid our entry

Do you realize you made OYSA's point

I could ask what are you scared of but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that Surf provides equal exposure to coaches but unless you get into the premier division it just won't mean as much as winning Regional’s. Say how did your DD’s team do two years ago at Regionals? Did you win any games?

Again with the Arrogance

There are plenty other tournaments to travel to with better comp. Ecnl and da have depleted regionals. Just the way it is now. Time to move forward.
