    Boys??

Let's talk about the boys! My son is excited to play in the PDP spring league. Yes he's young, but enjoying soccer and looking forward to trying out for classic soccer someday. Any predictions on the PDP league;-).

    Question was asked in jest...

I was kidding about the predictions! I am assuming the teams are all pretty equal depending on the day.

Its a great soccer atmosphere....however a little crowded trying to put three games on a field.

Refs aren't great, but most of them are HS kids reffing for the first time so they are learning right along with the PDP players.

          All in all great fun

The fields are a little crammed, but I agree it is mostly a positive atmosphere. Each year tends to have a few teams that are significantly better than the others, but the rest of the teams are usually pretty equal. Most of the coaches are good at keeping things in perspective and allowing equal playing time. It's a great option for those kids who want a little more competition and prepare themselves for classic soccer. My only gripe is that the schedules are slow to be posted. It sounds like that is a typical complaint throughout soccer though.

WUSC used to - a really good one. Unfortinatly oregon soccer polotics killed it.

                Only one left is FC

                  Camps?

Are there any great camps for spring break or summer for the kids that are a little more serious about soccer?

I send my boy to the WSM camp during Spring Break and he doesn't play for WSM. Always great when you get to work with John Bain and don't have to pay much (finances and WSM politics) to get the instruction.

                        u14B mixed schedule

So we are just about finished with our 2nd week of the mixed spring schedule.

In your opinion has this been beneficial? or a waste of time?
I have seen both close scores and blow-outs. No upsets yet.
