Plus it's only spring. It means nothing since most teams are not at full roster.

FC influence over OPL at play once again.
This is the State Cup Bracket.
Any OPL team can enter in the State Cup.
You need to get over little man's syndrome.

Question
Does anyone know the real reason why FC Salmon Creek is dodging out of Washington State Cup and deciding to play select teams that wouldn't even make 1st division OPL?????
"We are going to play Challenge Cup so we don't have to be forced to playing in against RCL division 2 teams who will present a challenge to us"
It's the Salmon Creek way I suppose.

They always do the Challenge Cup. Its an easy pull to say you are a "State Champion" when you walked over awful teams. The moment that teams starts losing, those players go to the Timbers. They certainly aren't there for the coaching. They tell everyone that their 2 ODP players will be gone but in all reality they will be playing during those games.

Easy to say you are better when you dodge out of playing the best.

Any predictions on how the 99 Timbers Reds will do in the OPL next Fall? They are generally considered a top five Washington team in their age group. They beat Ziconium and Nemesis in the Mt. Hood last summer, both games by a goal. My guess is they go in as the favorites and surely finish in the top two or three.

The Timbers are a very strong team. There is some thought that the Timbers will benefit in player movement from the switch to OPL from the WA RCL travel league. FCSC players (& other SW WA players) will be moving to the Timbers. Bottomline the Timbers get stronger in 2012-2013. The parent-parent discussions have already started.

Not sure I would be too excited, however, if I was a parent of WUSC, WSM or BSC as I wonder which one of those teams would go to/remain in Division 1 to make room for the Timbers?
If I remember correctly, every age group U12-U14 had eight teams which facilitated the 14 game home/away schedule. I wonder if OPL would make an exception if the Timbers joined?
