If Thusc did something to mess up their bid for ECNL, then shame on them. However I don't think that is the case. Rather than taking this moment to bash Thusc, let's instead try to figure a way to get one of our clubs into ECNL. I don't care which club it is, I just want one of the clubs to be a member (Thusc, FC, OSSA, ...I don't care).
One possible way to get into the ECNL is to have the Portland Timbers make the application and have the Alliance clubs work together to funnel the best girls onto these teams. This approach might have the "critical mass" necessary to get the attention of the ECNL and US Club Soccer...

Can't happen unless ECNL becomes an Adidas based League....Adidas is in talks with ECNL. Adidas has a backup plan anyways and it's in the works....MLS/Adidas are going to be running and ECNL type league through their MLS contingent both boys and girls....

Keep your eyes on ECNL for Vancouver Timbers especially if ECNL goes Adidas

ECNL will NOT be changing to Adidas

2000+ girls in one club. Better than average chance of developing some great teams.

Probably has less to do about which athletic company is sponsoring and the fact that the US Club / ECNL wants to land the MLS teams. (if they don't and the MLS teams create their own league then this is competition they don't want/need)

MLS teams as a whole don't want to waste their money on the girls. Doubt you will see much in terms of girls teams from the MLS. They will do a little but nothing fancy.

Perhaps the MLS could work with US Youth Soccer to make the US Youth Soccer National League into a real competitor for the ECNL???

Several MLS clubs have begun their women's program and have recently started their youth side of the program for girls.

I am assuming that is what the Timbers are doing with their ODP/ OYSA sponsorship of the Portland Rain and the invitation that went out to the older girl's pools.
