If development and wins are the most important, don't worry ever about going to OSSA. They're a program built off of using the players that were developed in other clubs.
Bitter, are you? Who cares where they were developed? Nonsense.

Not a complete way of looking at things.

You have to also factor in what the player wants out of soccer. You can only develop so much at practice and in the local leagues. If you want to play with more competition, then going to a team that is playing in higher end tournaments is important as well. As is playing in NWCL. SSC is fine for some people, not for others.

Your right. At this age (U15 and beyond) it's about exposure. Get with the best team that your player can make at the time of tryouts. If your plan is college soccer, find a team that's gonna hit up all the best tourneys and has some connections with the schools that you'd like your player to attend.

To further their chances play ODP as well.

Yes, Ossa 15's are terrific. Just look at their scores compared to paltry Esu or Fc or Thusc. lol.

Nice sarcasm! And you're right. In the OPL FC is leading with a GD of 6, followed by OSSA with 2 pts (played 2 games and everyone else is at 1 game) and a GD of 0, THUSC 1 pt GD 0, and ESU 1 pt GD 0. Looks pretty even to me. Now in NWCL ALL the U15's embarassed themselves compared to Washington teams. Coming out with a GD of 0 is nothing to brag about. Let's be real, being the best team in Oregon is like being the best team in rec.

Sheesh ... we are only a couple games into league. There are some teams who haven't even played a game yet.
And lets be real .... FC PDX played Eugene .... Everyone's GD will improve once they play EMFC

NWCL is over for all the teams. Well it should of been over for all the Oregon teams but luckily WA gave OR the mercy rule and put all the Oregon teams in one bracket. WA got ripped off as 6 out of the 7 teams in flight B did better than the top Oregon team. And even the bottom team in flight B did just as well as OSSA except for a 1 goal differential.

Yes the OPL season has just started but I think NWCL proved that U15 should never leave Oregon again.

And how did all the other ages do?
Is it just U15 or does OR just suck

Other age groups did well. U11B FC came away with 3 wins, 1 tie and 2 losses, U12G THUSC came in second, U12B FC was in the semi final, U13G THUSC won it all, U13B CFC Real Madrid was in the semi final, U14G Rage finished with 3 wins, 1 tie, and 2 losses, U14B WUSC won it all and EMFC was in the semi, U16G THUSC is in the final going 5 wins and 1 tie, U17G THUSC is in the final with a record of 5 wins and 1 loss, and U18G Oregon took the top 4 spots.

The real truth is Oregon does not have many quality coaches. I bet there are not more than 5 coaches that are good quality coaches and role models.

Those are two different things. Very different.

Only because we allow them to be. If we keep giving "good coaches" get out of jail free cards they will never become role models.

Our expectation of a top level coach is they should be both.

                            Interesting bit

I recall a discussion that thusc had attempted to merge/work with Sherwood. Interesting that sherwood is willing to work with westside instead of thusc. Kind of makes you wonder.

given that all the clubs hate T.A., and the DOC at Sherwood don't like T.A., why would they work with THUSC?

i heard it's official that Westside, Tualatin, and Sherwood are all under one name now- Westside Timbers. Also that a Westside coach is taking over the Sherwood U13 team. Any truth to this rumor?
