What type of weight program should a player who expects to play in college soccer in a couple of years be doing?

Is it core training or leg strengthening?
Is it heavier weights or repetition that is important?
And is there specific weights, weight machines that are ideal.

Take a look at this book. It was written in 2011.

Only 2 we've tried have been Alberto & Garen.

For me, Alberto's good but he's a flake.

Can't say enough good things about Garen & what he's done for our daughter.
He'll get on the girls & he demands improvement or he won't continue to train her.

And she's bought completely into it.

What percentage of the top players do private training on the side? I am not convinced that all players benefit from private training unless it is something that they like doing. Otherwise with all the soccer that is being played there is some risk of burnout.
