WSM has the same number of points with one game less.
WSM is right where they belong at Div 1. The team has a good record, but they are not overly dominating many of the squads. These same WSM girls were greatly overmatched last Fall/Spring OPL and finished both seasons with horrible records. WSM played in the top division in tournaments this summer and lost almost every game. This is not a premiere level team (yet - they may be), and Div 1 is a good place for the team to experience success and develop as individual players...
Besides, girls hit puberty during the U12-U14 groups, and you can obviously see a high degree of variability in this right now at U12...

Evenly Matched
I still don't think you can really say that any of the top 5 teams are THAT much better than each other. During all of the cross-matches, they have been very close scores and could have easily gone either way from my understanding.
If you look at Premiere, there are 3 teams that have only 2 or less wins. Any of those could be candidates to move down--I think Oregon Rush gets the worst of the deal however with their crappy travel schedule. (and yes I do know it's by choice to play in the OPL but they really have had it tough with 3 games some weekends!).
In the first division, it's going to come down to the wire. I think BSC with 2 games left is probably guaranteed one win, WSM with 2 games left is guaranteed one win, RVSC is guaranteed one win and then has a tough game vs Pacific, Pacific still has 4 games left and if they can pull them all off they'll be right at the top and FC with 3 games left is playing the bottom of the divison so they could pull off all three and put themselves into contention as well.
So who would move up to Premiere?? Not sure that anyone necessarily qualifies for that, but we could potentially have some fun with it. It is just Spring season after all...

fall vs. spring
Could anyone enlighten me on how spring season differs from fall season in terms of importance, divisions, etc.? For instance, if a team is in the bottom four of U11 premiere will they start the spring season in division 1? thx

Why does it take so long to post scores. As a manager of another age, i know that the phone call is less than 15 seconds and can/should be done when walking from the field! It takes less time to call the score in than to watch your DD's do their victory/Loss run!

Posting scores
Sure wish the scores could be posted a little sooner than 4 days after the game. The top 3 teams are neck and neck, and one score could make a difference. At this point its too close to call...

Does it really matter when the scores are posted? Your not in premier, so even if you finish in the top 4 you're not booking hotel rooms for the NWCL next fall.
Fall IS soccer season at all levels (youth, HS and college) for most states, with only a few exceptions...thus fall is viewed as the primary soccer season. The spring season is viewed as a "second season" because it is not a typical spring sport, that is, as the kids mature and move into HS they will play softball/baseball and run track, among other things - but not compete in soccer (unless its club).

Oregon Rush is 3 1/2 hours from Portland, RVSC is 4 1/2 hours away...both teams play up to 3 games a weekend which is crappy, I agree...but their choice. Notice that RVSC usually has 2 excellent games and then falls short their 3rd game. Travel? More effective subbing needed? Their "key" players sure get tired by the end of the weekend games!
