Oysa website
Under the odp link. Then look for a link that says pool players
for your kids age group. Usually posted within 72 hours after
tryouts conclude.

Each player will be notified with giant bill in the mail. In return for your money you will get crap coaching and your child will want to give up the game they love now because some adult professional youth coach has ruined your player.
All that and much much more.
I like that "adult professional youth coach". Little league baseball just has morons coaching, soccer we pay them.
PS they should take out the word development in ODP very little of that going on.

Cost was incremental depending on how far along in the process you wanted to go and were chosen to go. We never recieved a "giant bill", and the biggest expense for us was the travel costs related to the state pool training.
My daughter and I thought the coaching was good. I had concerns with some coaching aspects (mostly related to fairness and percieved biases), but these were relatively minor. Her marked improvement was likely due to both the coaching and the training with exceptional age-group players.
She certainly loves and respects the game more now than before. And I was quite pleased with her development during ODP. Notably, she wants to do ODP again this year.

Could it improve, of-course. But overall it was still a very positive experience.

1) talent (the kid is naturally good, stands out, aggressive, good movement on the field and with the ball)
2) politics (Generally speaking a good relationship with Kony and/or John Bain and Jim Rilatt is recommended if you hoped to give your kid a shot in W/E Portland and neither of #1 or #3 apply)
3) size (98/99's most are in some stage of puberty.... the larger the kid, tall/muscular, the more likely the coaches were taking a 2nd look)
If your kid didn't get picked, then I would say it's because one of those three didn't apply ~ Good luck to all the kids!
