    Love it

I love the idea, and I wish Sherwood the best of all the luck in their pursuit.

Wow, really? No fee? How does that work? Who is paying the coach(es)? Or will there be fees just lowered amounts as no club admin fees?

Sherwood had a fairly good U14 Now U15) girls team, I believe it was. Are these players still sticking together? I heard one left for OSSA's 2nd team? Did the rest remain together, anyone know?

Sounds like a great opportunity for girls who may have been cut, or who can't afford club and did not do club due to cost. Good for Sherwood. Would love more info as we will be directing my dd's friend to contact Sherwood, she was one of the FC White/B team girls cut, wonder if Sherwood is doing a combo U15/U16 team if numbers dictate?

At the combined OSSA practices this summer, there were regularly 5-6 (going to be U15) girls there. Im sure some, if not most made one team or another. Once the word got out that a couple of the best were heading there, the rest followed.

That is wonderful! We have a friend who was on the Sherwood Force team, have not touched base with her in a long while, will check-in this week and see if her dd is one who left or staying.

Hope Sherwood has enough to fill a team after losing the better ones to OSSA. I imagine they could do a combined U15/U16 team if needed.

I don't see this type of thing as watering down anything, these types of teams appeal to those who likely would not do a regular classic team anyhow.

Does Sherwood even have enough for a team if 5 or 6 went to OSSA? Any make the OSSA A team? I heard one made the B team and the few others made one of the C teams?

i think their 4 best made the B. These are top-level players that could play on either the A or B.

That will be interesting to see. Sherwood had 2-3 players who could play on an A team, depending on the A team honestly. Not 5-6. And not on a team like OSSA A team is touted to be now (and possibly will be now with the combining).

I heard one of Sherwood's top players stayed in Sherwood, and one was on the OSSA B team. Not sure about the third one, maybe she too is on the B team at OSSA. Don't know of any others who could or should make an A or B team at OSSA really. But being around better players may have showed something unseen before. They really only had one with any skills and a noticeable good touch for the ball, and she is on the OSSA B team according to my dd's friend on the A team.

And that doesn't even consider social factors, like the relative social sophistication of the players and the parents.
