Hello fellow soccer fans! You are cordially invited to the 9th annual Clash at the Border Soccer Tournament! The Clash is being held July 8-10th, 2011 in South West Washington (Camas/Vancouver)!
We've got some great things planned for this year's tournament and we'd love for your team to be a part of it!
The Clash has developed a reputation of bringing competitive teams together from neighboring states, hense the name Clash at the Border. Teams that don't regularly play each other. We realize there are a number of tournaments to choose from and we are appealing to those teams that are looking for a unique experience. If you're team is tired of playing the same teams in summer tournaments that you play in League then the Clash is for you!
We purposely moved the Clash from it's traditional last weekend in June timeframe to July 8-10th to allow for those teams (OR, WA, ID) that want to compete in the US Club Regionals an opportunity to play in the Clash as well! We've heard from numerous Oregon Premier League (OPL) teams that the date change was a perfect fit for them!
Friday night @ 7:00 PM, July 8, 2011 the Clash is hosting the reigning National Champion U23 Portland Timbers vs Abbottsford Mairiners (BC, Canada) at Doc Harris Stadium ... Tournament HQ! The Clash has a little international flair this year! Each registered team will be given tickets to the game (players and coaches) Free! Additional tickets will be available at the door for $5.
Additionally, Teams that register early will be enetered into a drawing to win 4 Portland Timbers vs. Seattle Sounders tickets! The Timbers and Sounders square off on Sunday, 7/10/11 at 2:00 PM at Jeld-Wen Field, Portland, OR a close 25 minutes from the tournament!
The Clash is excited to welcome our neighboring club, the VUSA Timbers to this years tournament! The Timbers have committed to bring the majority of their Premier teams to this years Clash and we are excited to have them!
Please consider the 2011 Clash at the Border when planning your team's summer tournaments!
