Hahahaha, damn guys, Popma had to get her goals in somehow!
Really, this is the disgusting thing about hs soccer. Did Popma, or other hs "stars" really score at will or stand out that much, if at all, in club?
Grain or five thousand of salt really. All these accolades and praise and oh wow....but really, look who they are playing.
And sorry, there should be a mercy rule and goals above 5-7 differential should not count. I know teams with class, club AND hs, that wont allow this. Teams that even play down in number (Sherwood vs Benson last year, poor Benson had like 9 players in a play in game, Sherwood played with 9!) or use those games to allow goalies to get field play, or defenders to play up top. Things like that. Lake Oswego is another who has a coach who is vocal about never allowing this.
Tualatin is notorious for being severely lacking in class in these types of situations. My daughter is glad she is 3A, a good club player, and feels lucky to never have had to play for or against this type of coach or team. I think if it becomes more common, more and more kids will quit hs soccer.

Reeled in by the coach? If you pay attention you will hear that he encourages it. He and the team are a disgrace to the game.

Anyone know why Tigard boys had to forfeit most of their games?

This is hearsay, but they were playing with an ineligible player.

That is what is listed on the "details" for each of the games that were forfeit.

THU with a 9-0 win last night. I agree, there needs to be a mercy rule. It appears that Rosie did make some changes in the second half as it was 8-0 first half, 1-0 second half.

You do know which team that 19-0 score was for?

If you had actually read the post, you would know that the 19-0 score, and commentary about the coach was for the Forest Grove coach and team - that laid up that score on Jefferson. Makes you look super intelligent and classy, talking about a player who, if I'm not mistaken, graduated last year. Good job. Think before you post.

Do you even know who or what the thread was referencing. Talk about irresponsible! At least research before you vomit.

If you cant tell, the poster is extremely jealous of TuHS and it's players accomplishments. There is probably a single player on that team that her daughter plays with/against either in club or ODP and outshines her every step of the way.

Why else would you point out a player that is no longer at the school, on the team and referencing a team that is made up almost 50% with new players and then blames it on a game that happened a year ago.

There are some very deep and evil thoughts that still ramble about this mom's head and she's blaming the world for all their problems.

Glad to see someone enforcing some rules, that most schools are working really hard to follow.

Not sure about this case, but this is unusual.

Ineligible player for grades that weren't good enough last spring. Kinda slipped through and was discovered in house last week.

Been thru this twice, the AD of this Barlow High messed up and the teams got the shaft, the AD still has a job. Said it was a mistake, no apolgy on his part. School did nothing to help situation. To me what part of that isn't your job to make sure of compliance. Boys side forfiet 3 games, girls side 6 games frome first to last place. What a way to bring unity and school spirit
