in Boys U11--same as what we call U12

Congrats to the team . They beat Eastside FC (top 4 in Washington) 1-0 in the final. Way to go, boys!

So is the tournaments aging different from ours? Why are Oregon U12's playing as U11.

Just an item of curiosity. Congratulations on the win! It must be exciting for the boys.

Just pretend that this is an extension from this last seasons state cup. The same age grouping is used at USYSA Far West Regionals. After Regionals and Nationals are over - the kids are then recognized for the next years age group

            Questions About Regionals

First Question: I briefly read the tournament rules and it appears that the champions of Supergroup and Premier both advance to nationals. This seems strange. Since the committee tried to seed the top teams into supergroup, teams that win premier are likely not as strong as several if not most of the teams in supergroup. Nonetheless, my daughter's team is in the finals of a premier division tomorrow. If they win, is it correct that they go to Boise? If so, when they get there, do they only play Premier teams from other regions, or are they in the same bracket as the state cup champions and supergroup regional winners?

Second Question: Is this really a national tournament? With no disrespect to Boise, could it really host a tournament with 50 state champions, plus four regional supergroup champions, plus four regional premier champions, for every gender/age group? How could they have enough fields, refs, hotel space, etc.? Seems unlikely to me, but maybe someone could explain.

Thanks. Good luck to all the Oregon teams that are still competing in Seattle!

Yes, if your daughter's team win they will go to Nationals in Boise. They will play other teams that have won in their premier group.

Yes, this is really a national tournament (growing). Boise has a large facility that can host a tournament of this level. There is not a team from every state represented per age group. Only certain leagues have the opportunity to send their champions straight to nationals. This is something unique to the OPL. Most teams received their invitation to Nationals through winning one of the Regional tournaments throughout the country.

Should be a great tournament. Best of you luck to your daughter. I enjoyed it much more when it was on the East Coast

                U13B represent Oregon well

U13B (soon to be U14) Super Group Final is all Oregon, WUSC Arsenal vs. ESUFC Boca Black! Great job boys beating out solid Washington competition.

The standings have a link to show last years results for the age group - looks like WSM won the super group last year.

This sounds like a very strong age group for Oregon soccer.

At U17G. EMFC Spirit in finals. Had to beat OSSA in semis.

Could have been an all oregon finals if OSSA had been on other side of the bracket as I think OSSA would have won.

Finals will be a tough game for EMFC as they only have 10 players since some had to leave for regional camp.

This is a strong age group for Oregon!

Crossfire 2-0. Well played game by both teams. Most of thegame was battled in the midfield. The difference was Crossfire converted their two attempts. FC had chances, but didn't finish.
