THUSC Sapphire to join coach MJ (aka "Coach RedCard") on his new club/team

What is this all about? Are they going to a club or how does that work? Does anyone know anything about this? You have to admit that it makes for interesting Oregon soccer gossip :p.

Did he find a club to take him (and his teams) or did he make his own? Wonder if OPL will let him coach or will suspend him for his cards? You would think the league would do something.

        I Care

I am wondering where they will play, and how that works. They have some very good players and I find it interesting. I am guessing that they cannot do the OPL since that is a closed system but I really don't know. I know some of the players and I wish them well.

Please do not make comments when you do not know what you are talking about. OPL is not a closed system and if the team in question moves to another club they will be able to play in the OPL just like anyone else. Your consistent animosity towards Opl is getting tiresome, don't you have anything of interest to say?

              Perhaps you don't read well?

The question was are they going to a club or staying independent? Comprehension problem perhaps? What have I said to anger you about OPL? Not a whole heck of alot. If they are independent do you think the OPL would take them?? Jeez what a sensitive little critter you are.

Check the rules before spouting junk.

                  Get a life jerk!

You seem to know everything, so do the rules say they independent teams can play? All I said is that I didn't know and was asking if anyone did. I assume you do????? Do you want to intelligently respond or just attack?

                    The bigger issue

might be whether MJ would be allowed to coach a team participating in the OPL next year, given his suspension earlier this spring.

ORSoccerMom seems to be just asking questions. Someone else seems to be spouting junk and venom.

Per OPL rules, he cannot coach a team of same age/gender that we was coaching with another club. He can still coach the girls but not with OPL with any club or independently. He can with OYSA or a WA league.

I think that rule was put in place when most of the Ireland team moved to THUSC with their coach.

Well, he seemed to have no problem with it this weekend. He was coaching the old THUSC Black boys team (Even still wearing THUSC Uniforms!) AND coached the girls old Sapphire team (now in red). So........ based on your statement, what happens now?

I think he should get another red card . . .
