Surf Cup brackets are up and games are scheduled. What do people think?

I think the placement is fair. Northwest OPL teams that are going get very little respect. No official OPL State Cup points, No NWCL points, etc. How do we expect to get good placements.

The teams going need to step it up and win some of these brackets to help get respect for our region. Even a WA teams is in a lower flight.

18- OSSA 93
17- Ireland
16- OSSA 95, Sodium, Eastside 95 (WA) ... are all second flights with OSSA 95 playing Eastside. Sodium could play one of them in semi finals. Crazy they schedule this way but play the games and earn the points and respect.

Hope some of these teams do well.

This is a hard tournament to get in.

Things happen and is it not fun. Save your money. This event is not cheap and there is a lot of time for the great U12/U13 teams to grow up.

Why is Ireland in the Gold Division? They should be in super group. I understand why the Timber are gold, but Ireland should be Super Group.

It all comes down to Got Soccer ratings and Ireland's rating is poor due to lack of tournament points. The team is excellent, but rating system is flawed for Oregon teams this year. OPL should appeal to the powers at be to get some rating points assigned for their programs.

One of Ireland's reserve forwards who live in Vancouver has joined the Timbers 94 team. A goalie that joined Ireland last year also left.
