I can't believe there are 9 players on the regional camp team from the Usonians. How is that representative of Oregon? Few of those didn't even play or were at practice last weekend. this is so bad for the process of choosing players or having us drive to Salem to practice. the team was chosen already even before Friendship cup!

Very common. Happens all the time. What can you do? I learned that complaining about it to anyone in charge did no good. It can help if you have a very high quality coach, but even then, favoritism can happen.
Look at the men's national team...coaches' son is the starting center mid. Team sports selection at the higher levels can be a rough ride. That's just the way it is. Sorry.Comment

I think there are a few questionable selections on the team but for the most part it looks right to me from what they had to pick from. The initial selections for ODP was where the problem started.Comment

There were not many forwards or keepers to choose from. Just about anyone could of made it as a forward. I noticed at the Friendship cup the coach had the Usonian forward playing a lot of midfield. Anybody could have made it as forward? Tell that to the forwards that didn't make it. Players that made it deserved it. There is still a ton of talent not going to Idaho. I hope they are not discouraged-tryouts again in August!Comment
