Why would we want the NFL here when we already have REAL football in Portland.......

Jeld Wen needs to max out because it is impossible getting tickets for a Timbers game for a low price.

These guys tear it up at home. Who would not want the Army to expand all the way across the north end... If you could expand Jeld Wen to above 50,000 in capacity down the 10-15 year road, what innovational strategies would you take? Imagine the Timbers Army expanding all the way around the field with everyone going nuts singing in the game's glory.

Rip City till I Die... When I root I root for the Timbers!!!

They really need a new coach. The team does not look like it has the talent to progress. Next season will be the big test. We need a quality coach that can coach results and see the problems on the field. It's looking grim for the future of PDX soccer. Best fans, deserve a quality coach!

Portland Earthquakes? Usually team names relate to the city..... Maybe Portland Hipsters? Or Portland Hippies? Those fit Portland well...

Seriously? A new coach is going to make shots or retain possession at the end of a half?

I have read a lot of things about kid soccer here but few claims rival yours for a lack of reasoning. If your team is populated with 2nd tier veterans and a few young talents why would you think a different coach would produce different results?

Would you sack Jewsbury for missing 3 PK's? The answer is spending more money for more talent!

Look, Kenny missed two pks - and both were because the goalie jumped off his line - not Kenny's fault, and then the coach pulled him. That stuff is history. Kenny finished the year strong and scored goals for us when we needed them the most - that's the sign of a good player. Jewsbury is a holding mid trying to be an attacker - not his forte. In fact, chara is a holding mid and is as creative as a baby eating his first birthday cake. Who's to blame for putting two holding mids in the middle. You wonder why Kenny couldn't get any service. Ifthe timbers want to improve next year, make Nagbe your attacking mid and use Jewsbury as a holder. I am angry that we had a good holder in Moffat, but for whatever reason, he was not held in high esteem. Then he goes to Houston and holds and helps make that team go. That was never more apparent than when we came to play against Houston at Jeld Wen, and they thoroughly dismantled us. Look, great first season, but a few changes in the middle and you will see some improvement. Oh, and keep finding ways to add seats. The bigger the crowd the better. We have a waitlist for cryingout loud. Time to take advantage.

Charra is by miles their best player. Nagbe has the most upside along with Alhassan. Jewsbury is solid but too slow. Cooper is not the answer. He's too slow, he can't maintain possession and he's forever coming outside to get the ball for no reason at all. Timbers need a forward, another midfielder and most of all, someone to actually run the defense since Perkins isn't going to do it, and it doesn't look like the club wants to give Gleeson a chance.
