If THUSC did not have the top girl's program would you still say that.

I am from FC Portland and I am not thrilled about the program. They are still just getting by on reputation. There last great team was a few years ago was the Sapphire team with Kendall Johnson and Courtney Verloo. BTW, a few girls on that team including Courtney were from Southside.

I think Tom is a hard worker and is at least making an effort to make things happen. This is a competitive business and you play to win.

But just to be fair and unbiased, lets bring in the boys side as well. Why don't you ask any boys team member and/parent what they think of the man.

Hmmm, maybe that is a little harsh and unfair. Maybe it would be better to state that there was no boys team that won enough for him to latch onto. Because as all associated with THUSC know, if you are a winner then you will most likely end up with the DOC as your coach!

This is common practice at every club where the DOC latches onto the top teams.

The best girls team for FC Portland was the team that lost to THUSC Ireland. Guess who the FC Portland coach was

I am a parent of a boy who plays at THUSC. Yes the girls side is better but our DOC is putting out a lot of effort to work on the boys side. The coaching has improved and I've seen our DOC at numerous practices and games for our team. We gained 2 new boys teams this year and I think that is improvement in itself.

The one and only reason people come on her to bash on THUSC is because their girls side is successful. People will play the recruiting card but you can't recruit if you have nothing to offer. If their teams were not successful at the younger age groups then kids wouldn't want to come to THUSC.
