I'm sure you're right. You should do it.

I'm not foolish enough to pretend to be a coach when I'm not.

No effect as AU did not have any hs teams this past year. AU U14 boys will go to several different high schools. No U14 girls team this past year. Aloha club soccer is much more than Aloha HS which is different than what other youth sports do. Some AHS boundary kids play for other clubs such as FCP, THUSC, SS, WSM etc.

The real questions are how can Aloha HS build their soccer program and what can AU and the other clubs do to draw more kids from this side of Aloha/Beaverton? Most do not want to drive too far in traffic to go to the other clubs. So ADP and AU programs are needed for this side. Can the Tualatin Hills clubs work together? How can TH fields be fairly used? It takes time and AUSC/AYSC helped AHS as well as other high schools and Tualatin Hills Clubs. Should clubs be based more on high school boundaries? Remember it is about the kids so how can we all help?

Tualatin and Tigard HS should prevail on the girls side
          Tigard on the boys side

One of the reasons, besides the obvious low-level of high school soccer, that players like clubs is because of new faces and playing styles. Limiting clubs to a particular area doesn't really help the better or best players as they gravitate towards better teams. Poor high school performance would probably result in poor club team performance. I believe that the system is just fine now, but we do have way too many clubs as compared to other large cities and areas of the West.

              regarding TRL

West Linn has a new coach (former asst.). They lost an all-state forward and a solid centerback that anchored the team but have another potential all-state forward, one of the best keepers in the state and good young talent coming up. So, I would expect them to compete for a league title again.

Who returns for the Clackamas team that went to the Semis last year? How about LO & Lakeridge?
If I remember correctly, Clackamas lost a large number of seniors so may be looking at a building year (?). Lakeridge didn't lose as many players, but graduated several important starters. LO's young team will be stronger, with last year's experience under their belt. Their starting line-up certainly has the potential to challenge the top teams. While West Linn definitely has some individual talent, they will need more than an all-state forward and "best keeper in the state". I predict Canby will be the team to beat in TRL this fall.

So, Canby wins two league games in their first season in TRL but in season #2 they are the team to beat?
