98's were done after the first practice I'm Salem!! The coach had all the kids line up from tallest to shortest. He took the 18 tallest players and then added the shortest most skilled player and that's done. Wow great coaching Oregon!! Add zero coaching during the friendship cup or scrimmages and no thought on rotations or adjustments during the games. Hello this is ODP!!! The kids should be getting great coaching!! This guy is laughable.

what a joke and an embarrassment for oregon soccer. and by "most skilled" do you mean one who clips ankles and gives the ball to the other team more than anyone else? i love when my midfielder has that match up..bruised ankles but always wins the ball.

Actually, the schedule says rosters announced on June 2 for older age groups and on June 6 for younger ones. The younger age groups still have practice sessions next weekend.

The 94's did receive notice. It was by invite only, meaning they did not take a full 18 person "team" to camp. Same as last year for the 93's.

Advise from a 94 ODP parent to the 98 ODP parents.

I have read a lot of negative comments and remarks about the ODP program and the coaching staff of the G98's. Life is too short to be this upset over 7th grade soccer. You will see ups and downs of the program. Unfortunately Erik is in a down time right now.

Players that make the regional team this year will not play next year but may return in two or three years. If your DD makes the squad this year tell them congrats and encourage them to show as best as they can.

If they don't make it. Huge them and remind them that next years tryouts are right around the corner and they can give it another shot.

Back away from the edge... huge your DD.. and hope for the best for her.

Complaining about ODP and the coaches will do no good. Good luck to the young 98's play with heart and fire!

Good safety tip. The 98 group seems to be sideways 24 x 7. There is a long way to go, relax a bit.
