After almost a year of viewing and occasionally posting on this forum, I bid you all goodbye. After learning about this site from a friend, I was initially intrigued to see what was going on in our soccer community. It was fun to see what was posted after our child won a particularly contentious game, read about the gossip, hear about other clubs problems/triumphs, and learn that all teams have "those" parents on them. Unfortunately, I believe I haven't really learned anything of value here except that parents can really be mean to other parents, kids, coaches, and programs. I am pulling out of this forum and realizing once again that this is my child's sport and my time is best spent elsewhere. I challenge you all to reevaluate your time on here and use that time instead for a better purpose. Best of luck to all the teams this year!

By your own words.....The four criteria that intrigued you to check out this site (postings after contentious games, gossip, club problems/triumphs and "those parents") didn't have anything to do with learning something of value about soccer. Actually, all four fell squarely in the realm of gossip. It seems that this forum provided exactly what you were looking for, but without your personal boundaries of civility. When so much of the underlying focus really is anonymous gossip, it seems naive to expect (as a whole) a valuable exchange of ideas.
