    Positive Energy in Salem

Last night Cascade Futbol Club presented a great event. They had hundreds of supporters come out to celebrate, honor those who contribute to our sport, and raise money for the CFC scholarship fund. The objective of this event was to make sure that any child who wants to play, can play regardless of ability to pay. With all the BS flowing from Keizer, it was great to see someone holding the focus on the kids.

    Finally...

Thank you for the reminder that the reason we deal with all this craziness isn't building personal empires, instead it is to create opportunities for young athletes to excel.

Really? As I was reading the post I was thinking this is great!! Then you have to throw mud and tell everyone how much better you are by mentioning the other club. I from another club and it just seems if you want the fighting to end stop being apart of the problem. When you do good deeds you don't have to tell people about. Now it looks like your raising money to buy players for your comp program!

Wow, talk about twisting a message. A large portion of the player population in Salem struggles to pay competitive fees. The goal of CFC's scholarship program is to help these players afford to participate. As far as throwing any mud, I guess believe what you want. My comment was based on the last two weeks of mud being thrown by that other club giving the impression that all that happens in Salem is squabbling and bickering, this was an example of something positive. Not tooting our own horn, but perhaps tired of negativity all the time.

I'm confused, is this what you mean by throwing mud and talking about "how much better you are by mentioning the other club"

Wow, that seems pretty tame compared to some of the allegations KSC has made about CFC.

CFC keep developing players and great teams. Some people have very thin skin and are jealous of success. Hopefully the CFC organization can get its act together and offer a great program for players in Salem. Kudos for helping the less fortunate, this is one of the few opportunities kids will have to make college realistic.
