    U12 Girl Tryouts

Any word on who gained some new players?

I heard FC gained about 15 new girls at tryouts - not sure if they all made a team. What about THUSC, Eastside and LO?

Do you have any idea where these girls came from? Does anyone know if any of the Keizer girls move to PDX teams?

The U-12 Keizer girls lost a couple players but I don't know where they went or if they quit club altogether.

Did any of the top 2 or 3 girls from Keizer's Vapor team leave or are they still there?

FC picked up 5-6 girls from the Aloha team that went undefeated in Div 1 last Fall. A few girls from the THUSC squad were there, and a few there from Sherwood. Not sure where they all came from, but there were ~60 girls at tryouts for the ~35 slots. With the additions, FC should field two strong U12 teams...

                Sherwood was 0-8 (in Premier)

                Aloha was 2-4-2 (in Premier)

FC White was 2-5-1 (in Division 1)

My DD's U11 Premier team played both Aloha and Sherwood and I am sure her team would love to pick up the top 3-4 girls from each of those teams. If FC got them, then FC will most surely benefit and be even stronger. Neither team had the depth needed to play premier but they sure had several girls that could help an already deep premier team.

Are you sure your daughter does not play for Aloha or Sherwood ? There may be 2 or 3 players at best that could make the Premier team at FC Portland, THUSC, or FC Nemesis. And out of this group... maybe one starter.

They will definitely make any one's "B" team stronger since both Aloha and Sherwood did well in 1st division.

Nope, but she does play for one of the top 5 u11 teams from fall/spring. And in playing AU I remember talking to a fellow parent saying that it would be tough to be one of the top few girls on that team as I honestly thought there were girls who were talented but there just was not a lot of depth.

I guess we will see. Like I said earlier, I doubt if any girls from Aloha or Sherwood would be an impact player for FC Portland, FC Nemesis, or THUSC.

Both teams combined for 4 goals finished total while allowing 37 goals in.

We have played both over the year and have seen the girls show up at our training sesssion before tryouts.

I am sure they have some decent athletes, I just don't believe they are good enough to impact the 3 clubs listed above.

                              THUSC?

There is FC Nemesis, FC Ptd, Athletica, Vapor and then the rest of the league.
