It's nice to read this age group is looking to the future and not moving to teams who are on top today.

LOSC has a history of good girls teams and from what we've heard the new coach has a good track record when he has talent.

Not saying he's not a good coach because I believe he is but just about any coach would have a good track record when his team has talent.

OSSA will no doubt be a good club but not any better than the rest. WSM and FC finished with 5 teams in the finals for U15 and up and OSSA only 2. I think the merger was a great idea and I do think we'll see more top teams from them in the future but FC, THUSC, and WSM will continue to produce top teams as well.

With all due respect for the other clubs, OSSA has existed for only 1 year. I have no doubt the other clubs will produce quality teams in the future, but our choice is to head where OSSA will exist.

Agreed, what I believe OSSA really gave the clubs is more depth in coaching at the premier level. FC and WSM already have that.

Before making a comment about the depth in coaching, I would first look at LOSC. They already had it too.

Lots of movement out of FC at this age group. Don't know of anyone planning on coming (but I'm sure there will be) I just know of a lot of girls that are leaving.

I will be interested to see what some of the top girls on top teams decide to do - will they stay with their current team, or change clubs? Honestly, I would love to see some change - mix it up and see if their skills can benefit another team etc.

Our team has had several interested players wanting to join for that very same reason (coaching & OSSA)

Looks like LOSC will be fun to watch this year - lots of possible changes. I don't know anything about the new coach, and my daughter doesn't play for LOSC, but I do have to say that I have always been impressed with their coaches.

I do hope all the girls continue playing. This is such a strong age group and I want it to continue that way. Skipper is a great coach, and LO will get better. The scores in the semi's is not indicative of how close all of these teams are. I want it to stay that way. Great group of girls from all these teams. Keep playing soccer!!

Yeah there are a few '97 girls teams that are fairly competitve matches at a local level but there is only one that can compete in places like NWCL or Surf and that team is short just one or two players from having a real shot at winning there. Word has it one of these is coming from LO. Sorry Skipper.

Sorry, but there is not 1 player at LO that would take the place of one of the starting 11 at WSM... except maybe the keeper. Not sure how that changes anything

Just out of curiosity, how do you know they were thinking of WSM? I do not see that mentioned anywhere in their post.

Arrogance like that is what will give this team and parents a bad name.

There are some good LO players who would be an addition to any of the U13 teams.
