WUSC is not OSSA. How many WUSC coaches do you see on the OSSA staff? They are not the same, they are just recommended to feed into OSSA. When they do merge at u-15, they will not be the same team, the will in fact be a collaboration of all four teams. It will be at this point that they will become a considerably stronger team. In the meantime, they are an overachieving 4 man team (this is very impressive for them to get the result that they have and they do deserve credit). There is no contradiction. When these 4 WUSC player merge with 6 of LOSC and 4 of OSA and 4 of SSC you're going to see a deep squad that will be a threat to anybody. At the moment, they're all split up and they do not represent the talent that they will in another year.

I think that this is your oldest son and that you have never gone through a progression like this. Best of luck. You'll see what I'm talking about on the other side. This isn't my first boy to go through the ranks and this isn't the first "merger" of strong clubs that has happened. If you really want to swap stories and figure out who knows what, go take a look at the history of an Oregon club called O-USA.

Okay maybe we are saying the same thing while saying it differently.
I was just saying that there will be places for WUSC, LO, SSC and OSA to play other than having to go to FC, WSM and Eastside. They will all merge to one club. You are right they will not be under the "WUSC" or "LO" umbrella. But to say they are done. You make it sound like their players don't have a place to go. My only point is they do.

I agree with you. I meant that the teams as we know them know are done and will not be the FC, WSM, or ESUFC without the potential merger at u-15. At this point they'll have to wait one more year for all of the merging and shifting of players, as the other 3 clubs will have this happen this year. There is also a ceiling held over the smaller suburban teams with the lack of numbers to draw from. I have no doubt that at u-15, if all these players choose to stay, will be a strong team. Unfortunately I have heard of several rumors about players from all of these teams trying out for FC, WSM, and ESUFC. This age group has a ton of talent and will continue to produce several talented teams.

According to a post on another thread, there is strong group of boys in OSSA's backyard for this age who are likely to give OSSA a look at U15 and create a fouth strong team.

Anyone know how OSSA selects their coaches who can attract top players when they are forming a "new" team?

That's assuming that the previous post in reference doesn't know about the number of LO players attending other team's practices this week. Some of LO's best players have had enough of what that program had to offer and cannot wait around any longer. To go that long with such a poor experience and no response; no coaching changes at this point will fix it.

I'm glad those WUSC kids are excited, too bad a few of their best players won't be available for u-15 OSSA club soccer because of their LAX commitments.

I think that this OSSA team for this age group is a fantasy that will not come true.

It was just 1-0 at half but ESUFC was just stronger today, they created many more opportunities and just outplayed EMFC. EMFC never really got into their usual possession game; I think nerves and experience weren't on EMFC's side. Regardless, ESUFC did a great job coming out strong, winning 50/50 balls and they played very well. Congratulations to ESUFC.
