Sorry there are a few brackets out there. This is the one I was looking at:

    U16 girls
FC Portland vs. OSSA in the finals.

    U15 girls
FC Portland vs. Eugene in the finals.

    U14 girls
FC Portland vs. Lake Oswego in the finals.

    U13
TM Rage vs. WSM in the finals.

    U12
Onyx vs. Lake Oswego in the finals.

Boo. Explain LO Ice being there and not FC Portland or Rage. These two teams
are in the top of the U13 age group and getting better. LO Ice fell and they can't get up.

          LO Ice

They have been there the past two years when it counted, I don't know the latest with player movement but they seem to have a solid group of players (even after the player left to THUSC). Not really deep but could win some games when the rotation is tightened. I of course could be wrong, remember it is just a prediction.

LO Ice recently got killed by SS, and FC. Even at the end of fall when the games counted they lost. I am not sure what happened with WSM except to say that it is interesting at best that Usonians are losing a few. It could be a ploy.. who knows. They also recently lost a good player to SS. Just a prediction OK, but kind of a silly one

U14 Mercury seriously? They are not playing well this year, didn't even qualify for nwcl next year, what do you base this on? SSC Trinidad didn't either!

who cares how they did in the NWCL ??? there are several teams that didnt do so well in the fall that are kicking it hard this spring and most likely end on top or near it.

I was not referring to how they played in the NWCL but referring to the fact that those teams did poorly in the fall ending up at the bottom of premier failing to even qualify to play in the nwcl next year. Spring soccer is not the true test of a team, basketball players missing and many clubs mixing up rosters to give second team players a chance to play.

                    "Prediction"

I made a prediction, if you don't agree that is fine. It is one person's opinion, why not share your opinion and try a prediction yourself.

By the way both THUSC and SSC have been in the top four the past few years for the U14 bracket and I would "predict" that they will be there again. Maybe Ice was a bit of a stretch but I think VCU would have been as well

And you think that Fall soccer is ? What with families that take vacations, new players to a team rosters, mixing team members from both A&B to compete in tourneys, new coaches, etc.

If spring soccer is so un-important, then why do we have our State Championships at the end of it ? Then advance onto to Regionals and Nationals ?

I do agree that the re-ramp up from winter does takes it toll on results for some teams, then others that do stick together all year prevail from the continued training.

Players rarely move teams after the results of fall leagues, they (parents and players) only remember what happened during the spring and state cup games. If they do, they move during the winter months. Thus, they are then on that team for spring league and state cup games.

Take your own players age and gender. Do you remember who won their fall league (if different from spring and state cup) ? Did you make a move to a better team during the winter because of it ? Did you make a move to any team after State Cup during tryouts ? If so, the team that you moved to.....did they do better in fall or spring/cup games ?

I see several predictions that have LO Lightning VS THUSC Onyx? Do you know that LO has not beaten Sherwood ...ever since these teams started playing Classic??

That is an interesting stat. But let's be honest, there is Onyx..............and everyone else is playing for second place.

                            For this year.

Yes but Sherwood has not been playing well at all in the Spring and LO has. Not sure what changed for Sherwood but they don't appear to be as good as they once were. I would also put LO ahead of Sherwood for now.

But in all fairness it is Onyx's championship to win or lose. If they play the way they can there is no U12 Oregon team that can beat them.

Sherwoods first game was onyx and they started practice the week prior, had injuries. They have so many girls that play bball that they start later. Actually if u look at the scores compared to fall they beat aloha which they lost to at the end of fall, they beat wsm by more. Psu came with only 9 players and isn't good as it is so they just worked on passing the whole game and didn't even try to score. Yes there first game in fall against onyx was closer then their spring game but onyx had added new players from tryouts and they have been rolling since then. Yes onyx is the team to beat but the 2nd is a toss up becuase lo and fc are playing well and so is sherwood now that they have some games/practices under their belts from their long break from bball.
