SD - Surprisingly, we were on Powerlines #3 and, after our first half hour, we were the only team out of 5 fields!! It was an oasis out there. How can practices be canceled when there were fields available? I think maybe an update in field planning software is in order? Can't someone download practice schedules into a piece of software that will then produce a calendar that lists open vs busy time? I do it every day for work and personal calendars. Interesting. :-s

Hey SD... Yeah, cancelling practice just days before QT would definately suck. But I wonder if it has more to do with the unavailability of certain coaches rather than the fields. All high school teams I'm aware of will be conducting try-outs at their school fields, during morning & afternoon hours when classic teams are not there. On the other hand, the coaches who work both club & HS teams could be scarce unless they're willing to work 12-14 hours that day. If that is the situation, I believe it's the club's responsibility to get a substitute coach (although not ideal, either) to ensure the classic teams are still being prepared for their important weekend. Hope it all works out.

BTW... What did the specialist say about Shu's ankle?

See y'all in Corvallis... I still can't believe that was the best available location for U14 CQTs. ](*,) Hard to believe this is our 4th and last time around the goat-rodeo of QTs. Next year, we'll be the ones stressing over HS try-outs! :-k

We practice at a Private School/Church we get a half field most all the time. They have 3 fields there and most all the teams practice there.

See you all at Corvallis and good luck to all. At less all the games are at one place.

I heard it was a mile walk in and every body is just staying there between games. There is no time to walk out and back between games, but heard they were nice fields. Good Luck to all.
