When does a team get moved from OPL's First Div to Premier?

Looking at U-15 girls OPL teams (first Division), it seems that there is a team that should not be in that division. They are winning the other teams, 10-0 & 9-0.

My question is when does OPL move them up to the premier division, where clearly they belong.

It is not beneficial for these girls to be playing teams that clearly are not real competition.

I know that in years past in the lower ages it's after the 3rd game of the season. They will flip flop the top/bottom 2

They may want to actually beat someone in the division that may actually give them a game first.

Beating the two bottom feeders in the 1st division is not exactly saying much. When they beat teams like OSSA White, United Platinum and BSC Black by those same scores then they might actually be looked at being moved, but until then they need to keep playing the schedule they have.

Isn't fc always rotating players from both teams? Shouldn't the team be set as not to be stocked with players that should play on top team? I wonder if they will lose potential good players with academy play.

It looks like they don't get to play one or two of the above mentioned teams until half way through the season.

I did look at those teams mentioned above to see how they played against the same teams that FC played.

          PCU games
          FC wins 8-0
          OSSA wins 3-0

          THELO games
          FC wins 10-0
          OSSA wins 6-0
          United Plat wins 3-1

It still seems like things are lop-sided. I'd hate for a team to have to wait mid season before they can be moved up to where they would have some real competition. Winning games by 8+ points is neither fun nor challenging.

The difference of 4 or 5 points between FC and the above mentioned potential competetors speaks for its self. When one team is winning by a that large of spread from how other teams are scoring against the same teams, it is time to move them up.

You can't really compare scores of games between teams. There are to many variable factors.

Was the team missing basketball kids?

Was the coach focusing on specific aspects of the game after 3 goal, realizing the other team was not mounting much of an attack?

Did the coach empty the bench and sit the starters after a certain point?

disagree too much disparity in scores..Might not be cool for other 2 decent teams, but it is best if FC moves up plain and simple.

I thought by U15 the basketball thing was sorted out, is this not the case? Do high school players not fully commit until spring?

Again, a sample of 2 games where a roster could have been overloaded is not a good sample to make a decision to move up. Best to keep playing the schedule they have and prove themselves over more than 2 games.

Not to say they don't deserve it but 2 games is not enough.

I agree. Give it more time. Maybe the coaches for the other teams chose not to run up the score. Maybe they switched their defenders and forwards to make the game more interesting.

FC has also switched up their players. Girls that typicaly play defense were moved forward and vice versa. They still beat their opponents easily.

Also, didn't White make it to the quarter finals of state last year? I don't think their talent is just a fluke. These girls know how to play.
