Girls 98 ODP Schedule

I made a post earlier today in another thread asking about the Girls 98 ODP schedule.

Our daughter plays in the OPL with the same age group, but did not try out, due to basketball commitments and nobody from her team made the final group to ask.

She and I would like to see the group that was selected and watch them all in action. Does anyone know of the training and game schedule ? Where do they practice ? When are the first games ?

I'm a mom, so please dont call me a perv. If you dont know, please dont respond to my post here.

Otherwise I supposed I can just call the OYSA office in the morning and figure it out on my own.

Wow, the comments to your post got out of hand. I have recently moved to posting at another site because this gets really ugly and heated here. You seem very reasonable and so sorry that transpired. You really should consider checking out the WPS/OPS site, you have to register but they have opened an Oregon section and many people have moved over. There are good discussions but none of the calling people pervs. Last time I looked the Portland schedule wasn't posted yet, but it will be at the link posted above.

Thanks to both of for being civil humans. I saw that link earlier today. Since the schedule was not available is why I was asking.

Ive been to the other site and will sign up tonight. I'm not much into posting, but I guess I can lurk all I want.

After today's events I will never post here again. For those of you that treated me like you did when all I asked for was information, shame on you. I wish you and your kids all the best of luck in the future and I hope they never see the things that you type or the way you treat others here.

I see now why very few ever register for fear of retribution or retaliation over comments made here. You wont have me to kick around, thats for sure.

I think this explanation may have gone a long way in avoiding the posts on the other thread.
Remember this is an open forum, no one knows who you are or if you even have a child.

All the more reason this forum will ultimately die. I'm sure there are those that like to hide, talk tough and belittle people without anyone knowing who they are. It must make their lives more fulfilled today.

Why should this woman (or any person for that matter) have to fully explain themselves to you, me or anyone else as to their intentions ? She asked a simple direct question, on an open forum, in a thread was was titled in an area that might be filled with parents of the appropriate age group. I thought it was a great place to ask the same since there were a few people already responding there and she didn't feel it necessary to start a whole conversation about it.

We (you and I) are not the forum police here. If you are in law enforcement, and your job is to catch predators, you'd probably be bating them here with loads of information in order to catch them in the act not shunning them away.

Either you have an answer that you'd like to share (as an active responsible member here) or you dont. If you are the later, then dont respond ? Keep people wanting to come back, share stories and seek information. Thats what will keep this place alive.

We are all humans beings. Most of us representing competitive soccer players in and around the State of Oregon (being friendly to our near neighbors to the North in Vantucky of course). Why is that we cannot treat each other like neighbors ? Would any of those that jumped in on the conversation yesterday step outside and talk face to face with their next door neighbor and call them a "perv" to their face (because they asked to watch your child play soccer) and expect that person to ever speak to them again with civility or treat them fairly in the future ? How many of you really know your neighbor ? Some of the worst people in the world were liked by those that lived next door.

I would imagine that even the person that stooped so low and typed those words will ever ask a similar type question themselves ? Probably not, for fear that it will happen to them.....or........it could be that their lives are so empty that this is the only outlet they have to be BIG (at something) so they are doing it for fun (and thats just wrong). Only the reflection in the mirror knows for sure.

I too am another that registered at the other site (today) and wanted to share my parting thoughts with those that are left here. Good Luck to you all.

I just came back to check on the original poster and make sure she got the information, I am too saying goodbye, good luck to all. I am enjoying the other site, great conversations and no BS. It is okay to have heated opinions, the line gets crossed with the name calling and ugliness. I look forward to talking with you on the other site.
