Why are all Thorns Academy games being played at Eastside? Aren’t most of the players from the west side of Portland?

They need any field they can find. Tryouts at Providence Park to get people in, come to find out you don't have a home field and are trucking around anywhere

Eastside Timbers new field complex opens this month. 3 turf fields. They will break ground on the building in August that will have Providence Sports Rehab, a crossfit gym, 3 futsal courts, Eastside's offices, trainer room and home and away locker rooms. Timbers and Thorns Academy will be renting field space from Eastside. There is talk that the Thorns First team may train there as well. Ties in with the launch of Eastside Timber's Eastside Thorns branding.
