Being a regular observer here, I don't think SD meant to be insulting, he/she just has occasional problems with words. :D
Certainly the two teams have seen a lot of each other and are likely to see much more.
Playing with coaching uncertainty certainly can be a distraction for players, but I would think FC will address the issue pretty quickly.
And coaching transitions are something the Harambee/Energy can relate to.

I second GW's post. As you will notice, the posts here are always positive for both sides of the ball. I think the harshest remarks are normally reserved for our own teams as apposed to the opponents! :D

Anyway, Sodium was in Washington at Crossfire. The Crossfire teams, true to form, were very good again this year. We missed the Semi's by goal differential (1 to be exact). The girls are still 'feeling out' the new coach and teammates but gelled together for a couple wins. Next up for us is the Lake Oswego tournament. Did I read a couple of the other teams are playing in that tournament as well? Best of luck.

Looks like most of the U14 G's teams are playing in the LO tournament, that are from Oregon. It will be good see if any of the teams have change a lot over the summer and tryouts. I think there was 24 teams at U14 and 27 teams at U13. Not sure which ones will play gold and which will play silver. If you play Rush Nike 95's may come watch that game, Sodium.

FC Portland ... what's the scoop with the coach? I saw the guy on Friday and the gal on Saturday. Didn't notice if it was the same gal on Sunday or not coaching the team. Westside will be changing coaches again this winter. Our coach will be moving back home to the Seattle area. This will be our 5th coach in 4 years. As GW said... we can certainly relate to coaching changes, sigh.

The guy is Mike dePinna. He's the U14 girls teams Age Group Coordinator. The 'gal' is a college player / former FC PDX player. That's all I know. The frequent coaching changes are a bummer; hard on the kids.

We've not seen many teams so far this season, but the one that stands out so far is LO Dynamite (U14). They got a lot bigger and much better than last season. I'm not sure if they had guest players, but if they didn't, they'll be a force to reckon with. They had a few players at ODP when we played them, as did we. I think we'll see the usual teams in the Premier Gold Division again this year...

Eastside
Westside

Looking at the Brackets and the format for PQT's last year, I'm thinking LO Dynamite will secure a slot in the Division and either Bridlemile or Ginga. It's kind of strange to not see the Timbers or Nemesis in the mix.

I think LO will be in the Gold Bracket.

I wish the Nemesis was playing for an Oregon Gold spot. Four trips to the Spokane area is going to Suck!

Boy, I've got to keep up. I'm answering questions from 5 or 6 posts ago! My bad.

I can relate to the coaching change frustration. New coaching style, new players, makes for a bit of a transition.

We don't play Rush Nike 95 in our bracket (yet), they've changed them a couple times already. We play 3-Rivers SC95 Rage who we saw play at Crossfire. OSA Inferno who we tangled with a few times during the season and WSA Crush who I can't find any information on? Does anyone know this team? The closest I came was some old website entries from FC Vancouver but it didn't tell me anything. Any insight would be great. I promise I'll keep up! :D

It is either FCV B team or a Select team from that club which is a WSA Club now.
If your girls win there bracket and OR Rush wins theirs, you will play in the Semi game.

Exactly. The OR Rush team has given our girls fits in the past! Should be a good match if we all get there! \:D/

Sodium- if the girls make it to the semi in first place we will play right after your girls if they make it there. That looks like the only place that we might have game close to each other.
