Looks like high school club soccer is still alive and well in Oregon. Some are going on to college, but most are just enjoying playing soccer with their team. It's cold, wet and hard work, but they are out there. Many dropped out or miss sometimes for various reasons. Several injuries and always drama and changes, but soccer goes on. Somewhat amazingly.

Our club combined U15 & U16 since the ODP AZ Tournament took players from both ages. There is also the Greater Renton FC Tournament going on the same weekend with a U15 bracket.

Now, because it's a "College Showcase" does that mean there wouldn't be a U15 bracket? Curious.

Is it worth it?

I only watched a couple of the games this weekend and my daughter has been dealing with injuries and what not for a year now. I saw some college coaches and heard somethings about college. I still think playing high school club has been good for her, even though it is probably not leading to playing in college and has not worked out well for her. She has had some ups and downs and given it all she could. Some on her team are trying to get to the college level, the coaches are trying to help. I am just wondering how many are getting college scholarships, and what the best way is to go about it with my son a year away from high school? We are still learning and trying to figure out the system. Any feedback or suggestions?

I see that FC has many older boys team in the tournament. Do they actually have this many tyeams in the club? just curious.

FC has two teams at U15, 3 teams at U16, and one team each at U17 and 18
