    Going to be tough with only a couple of cold weeks to get ready. Going to be more like warm up games than NWCL.

    Wish it would wait, at least I am ready for a little break.

    Have the WA teams been playing this fall. How does the high school season work in WA?

      I found this link to the Washington brackets;

      http://wiaa.com/subcontent.aspx?SecID=614

      And it looks like they were playing clear up to November 20th. If someone who frequents this forum has any more up to date information that would be great.

          Oregon girls will be in shape from HS ball, but many of the Wash club teams have been together working out throughout the fall, some several times a week.

          I see Oregon teams getting a rude awakening to their club seasons.

            Without doing any research; Wasn't there some OYSA or OSAA ruling that stated the girls couldn't start practicing with club until after the HS season was over? And visa versa? Or am I just dreaming this? I know our HS coach wouldn't have any of his club players practice until after the HS season was over. Does anyone else know of this?

              Some clubs call them workout "camps" and invite multi years, then break them up into specific groups by age or grade and gender. They are then coached/trained by several of the clubs coaches many of which have direct contact with the players team. It is not required to attend but highly encouraged and most of the players want to attend.

              It's a round the bush kinda way to have team training.

                What's wrong with the extra club training if the players want to attend and it is not required?

                  Because it is never "voluntary" even if they say it is "not required." That's why even the NCAA has restrictions on out of season "voluntary" workouts.

                    I would have to agree, it's never voluntary if you DONT want to be a starter on your team.

                      And with that comes a higher risk of repetitive motion injuries.

                        Oregon u-15 teams that are playing in NWCL should have a Jamboree in the next few weeks to prepare for the Seattle games Dec 11-12. Nothing better then working out the kinks in some friendlies. Anyone else agree?

                          One would think so but I don't see anything scheduled, unfortunately.

                            I think washington teams will win 75% of the games the first weekend. Most Oregon teams are slow to start and honestly the Washington teams have more talent. I guess we will see in 2+ weeks.

                              I am always curious as to why people think the Washington teams are superior to the Oregon teams? Especially at this age group. Case in point; from recent memory the Sodium team has beat NW Nationals the last couple times they've met and I don't believe WSA Courage team has ever beat them. Am looking for latest matches between these other Oregon & Washington teams and will post the results.
