Originally posted by Unregistered View PostIt looked rather simple to me. They listed the game id number, date, and teams playing in a chart on the NWCL section of the OPL site. It was pretty basic to read. 90% of the games that didn't count were the first games that teams played.
When all you had to do on the schedule was make a marking on non-counting and counting.
I don't know which % of the games were at the first or not.....all I said is that I know for our schedule it wasn't the case. Would I have preferred if it all non counting games were at the beginning? Sure. Is it a big deal. No.
Again like I said win your games and it doesn't matter

What are you, the post police? Grow up. Perhaps read through some of the threads here and realize that the majority of the threads have other discussions involved as well.
Read through some of the earlier posts in *this* thread, in fact, before commenting that it had nothing to do with anything.
So, yea, you are missing the boat. But likely nothing new for you.

Ok, so the rules were posted, e-mailed, etc., and your team didn't pay attention, or did and still lost, and now you want to whine and complain? If your team made it in, would you be here grumbling?
Maybe complain to your DOC for not advising your coach well enough on the importance of winning the counting games? Or complain to your coach for not playing players to win those games? Or realize that your team/coach did play to win, and your players still lost. It is what it is.
All teams were advised, rules were clear, voted on, posted, etc. It was fair. If you disagree with it, talk to your DOC and convince them to vote otherwise next year. Toss the club a few thousand and maybe you will get your way. And then when your team loses and doesn't make it in again, you can whine about another reason it was so unfair and wrong.

Sorry, it has nothing to do with leagues or associations or any of that. I was just surprised by this statement.Last edited by Soca lova; 11-06-2010, 10:22 AM.

Well our kids were told how important the games were when it was almost too late and the parents didn't get told anything. All my kids play sports all year on different teams and the communication is fantastic. We are disappointed and some bad decisions were made. Kids naturally want to win so don't say they didn't play to win.

I can't see what is so shocking about that comment. Are you saying that if you beat a team once that you shouldn't be able to beat them again? It never said anything about having no problem doing so. Saying the non-counting games weren't fair is nothing but an excuse.

Out of context
Sorry, I understood it out if context to be saying something much different. I only meant to be commenting on the statement that seemed to say " it doesn't matter if you only play a Team once, because if you beat them once you would beat them everytime. ". I see now this was out of context.
