#23 from Usonians is a good player but she definitely needs more time to develop. A future National star should be able to score some more goals in the watered down U13 division.

Any player, male or female, sent to this prestigious training should be able to deliver in the toughest games. A player who stands out.

            Good Grief

Don't blow this thing up bigger than it really is. It was an opportunity to look at kids. Different people see different things. What a player is doing today, may have very little impact on what an evaluator sees for the future. More importantly it's supposed to be fun. The vast majority of these kids are fine or good, but no better than that. So what, let them play, let them try out, let them have fun.

Afraid to post anything postive or constructive. It will be met with a negative/angry response.
As long as your kids are having fun and getting touches on the ball, they all have a chance of being discovered someday. No need for ODP,id2,W2, or anything else, if your kid is that good she/he will be found. At this youg age, focus on developing skills and play for the best coach.

Well I don't think that is true. The kids were proud to be there and proud to be a part of something bigger. We were told it is a chance for a US trainer to see them so how can you say they are only fine players and no better than that? There were some better than fine players invited.

I sincerely hope those were actually 98's from ther U13 WSM team? If they were from the U12 WSM team that is absolutely ridiculous and proves the process as political.

I believe they meant the U12G team at THUSC.

There may have been better than fine players invited but none with the calibur to be on the National Team. We barely have any that qualify for the Regional team every year.

Unfortunately this has not stopped certain DOCS to pursue their personal agenda.
Exactly, it is there job to advocate for the kids in there club, I would expect no less.I

Yes but they need to advocate for the kids that do truely stand out in the age group, not to boost their numbers.

                              True

True but advocacy and self preservation come hand in hand and override common sense. These individuals fill parents and players with false hope.

                                Perspective

Get over the DOC conspiracy theories. In Oregon there are a few regional players, and every once in a while, a player that can play at the national level. There is a huge gap between players who look great at the league and state level and those who are competitive at the regional and national level. Let the DOCs send whomever they want to these events. It doesn't make any difference and the kids who go hopefully get a positive experience from participating.
