Rage and Usonians

They tied this morning 0-0. The Usonians dominated the match though as the Rage only got the ball past midfield maybe once or twice. I do not see the Rage scoring many goals this year as they have lost there best player to the Usonians.

Westside is the Team to beat and this morning was just a fluke as they were trying out a lot of different formations.

Onyx beat Sherwood 2-1. Should of beat them by more but just couldn't get more in the net. Sherwood only had maybe two chances but they are a much improved team.

Eastside is struggling this year so that's not really much of an accomplishment. From what I saw of the Usonians game it wasn't much of a game. Rage had NO chance of scoring and all who know soccer well know that sometimes the best team doesn't win. It's hard to score when the ball never leaves your side of the field because the box is always so packed.

Sadly that isn't saying much this year. The U13 bracket fell apart. LO is struggling big time and got beat today by a struggling THUSC team. SSC lost a lot of players and I don't know what is going on with Eastside but they just don't seem to have it this year at all. I believe the only team that will have a chance of traveling outside of Oregon and seeing some sucess will be WSM.

It sounds like all of U13G is struggling. WSM can't even score a goal against Rage. Crush loses a few players, so only beats Valencia by 1. Ice lost to Thusc, but Thusc isn't playing that great. Sounds like FC is the only team that's not struggling......probably because they didn't play today.

FC lost to Ice 1-0...It should be an interesting fall at U-13....Other than WSM there does not seem to be a dominant Team. I expect WSM will probably average at least 4 goals a match the rest of the way.

I think the bottom line is there has been alot of talk at u13 about who is the dominant team, and really they are all pretty even. Matches could go wither way on any given day. The teams that have showed continual improvement are FC and Rage. THUSC can not be underestimated and they will work through the addition of 9 players. The teams have also learned how to play each other.

Barely ? Obviously you werent there. I watched from afar and it was totally one sided.

2 goals called back by marginal offside calls and 80+% possession. So really the score was 4-1. but I guess that wasnt a blow out to you. Lets us know how your team does against them in the coming weeks.

SSC must of picked up a hispanic looking girl that has some great game skills, quick in the 20yd dash (not so strong on longer runs) and very physical on the pitch. I dont know how long she has been practicing with them, but I didnt see her in the chinook cup games so it has to be in the last 3 weeks.

One of the parent spoke of a girl that trained with them this past week looking to take over the goalie spot. I dont know where that leaves they current goalie if she does.

Where I see them the weakest is the little girl in the middle. I think she is a play up. Her size hinders her ability to take headers, make long runs at speed and quickness to the ball. She has better then average skills but just cant put it use with those short legs. She would probably due the U12 team(s) some serious justice if she played at her own age group.

SSC takes on THUSC tomorrow, with WSM playing host to THUSC in the afternoon according to the OPL schedule. Can that be right ?

Unless WSM picks up there game a bit, they wont last at the top of this "self proclaimed" leader board here for long. Even if Rage was loading up the goal box, a good team can spread that out and open spots to shoot from (especially their star player that just moved to WSM).
