Funny how the OPL post up their schedule, then they post up here stating their competition hasn't yet. What an accomplishment that is.
If your going to sell your services, tell others how and why your so much better, don't put the others down. Why I only hear of others being put down, I for one look harder at that party to see if it is warranted. If the first poster here is trying to drive peps to OYSA their doing a great job.
Last I heard they have more teams playing (albeit not at the premier level) in their metro league, then all of the OPL. Could be why schedules are not out yet. By them vacating, they forced OYSA to make changes to enhance and attract more teams.
In many ways, I'm sure with the exit of all the egos in the OPL, OYSA is much happier managing a league with clubs and teams that want to be there. It's just too bad all those great players won't be representing Oregon at the USYS regionals and nationals.

The poster you mentioned isn't going to drive any competitive team to OYSA.

A bit ahead of the curve
All reports from Kansas City (USYS Nats)in 2010... u14 to 18 boys championships were the same...watered down competition.... due to USDA having over 100 clubs competing for the actual youth national championship comprised of academy teams filled with the top players 14 years to 18 years old from across the USA....I guess it is a bummer that Oregon teams can't go win this (USYS)--now that they actually have more than a snowballs chance in h3ll....not going to either USYS or US club soccer regs or nats is really not that big of deal anymore since US Soccer (governing body-- USSF) has officially made the development academy the home of the best...players and teams.

What's the connection?
Originally posted by Unregistered View PostYes, the DA is the wave of the future for USSF, but there are still be thousands of kids playing and enjoying youth soccer. Until Oregon gets a DA team we will have to play with the structure available to us, and, with the quality that has been developed here in the past, the inclusion of the Timbers to MLS, the shakeout from the OPL/OYSA changes, the future of Oregon soccer is still bright.
Once again people on this board sound like politicians, they have one issue only, and whatever the question they spin it to this issue.
Not that there was much of a point to this original post. How long should it take to make a schedule, when you assign people to the groups and have regional based play?
How has it taken this long?

I'm sure this was meant to be a joke. But, I wanted to make a point about all this "hatred" or whatever you want to call it that teams are said to have against each other.
My daughter has played competitive soccer for over 5 years and I can honestly say that the only "hate" going on is from the parents. The players for the most part will have teams they really want to beat but I've never heard the players actually start bashing these teams or their players.
The only bashing has come from the parents as does I have to say all the other drama posted all over these blogs.
I think we need to take a lesson from our kids.
