    State Cup Rostering

Is it true that players on OPL teams can also be rostered on a different club team that is playing in the OYSA State Cup? For example, can Oregon Rush ask players on LO or Westside to join its roster for State Cup and a likely trip to Regionals?

Yes, this is true. OYSA teams can roster players for State Cup who are playing OPL. Not sure if all coaches or DOC's would agree to this, especially if State Cup games or Regionals overlap with OPL games or tournament plans. This could be an interesting option for high school players who would like to go to regionals and are asked by a team likely to win the OYSA State Cup.

you are correct. the rule at OYSA is that a player may not play on two OYSA registered teams at the same time (they can play in any other USSF league though). They would have to be added to the team roster by the time of the freeze date. They do not have to actually play any games after that date until state cup games start.

Do players have to play in state cup games or just be on the roster for state cup games to play in regionals?

          Up to the coach

That is probably up to the coach. The official roster must be filed by roster freeze, as long as everyone is eligible. The coach can make whatever decisions they want as far as playing time. I Imagine it would be possible to roster someone for state cup, have them not play, and them have them go to regionals. Of course the downside to this is you lose one active sub. I am not sure why a coach would agree to this, it would have to be a pretty spectacular player.

I known the team has to have competed in at least 4 qualifying games to qualify. The player must be on at least those rosters by freeze date and thereafter. I dont believe they actually have to play.
