Not very good. Should see some of the girls that finally made it. Stick around long enough and you can have the extra expense too, if you want.

wow
must suck for esu. how can a team have a such a strong turn-around from 1 year to the next, get to a state final....only to lose some of their better players?? clearly they are doing something right in terms of developing the players and the team to do so well, it's a shame that that group couldn't stick together.

What IS a good turnout for that age level? I think we had in the low 40's. Is that good? Bad? From what I have seen/read this is a tough age bracket to fill.
I think we were in that same number range for 95 ODP tryouts as well. Again, is that good? It looked like the 96's had twice as many players as the 95's. Is that typical?
Sorry for all the questions but i'm pretty new to this U15 club & ODP thing.

My daughters club team made some great additions. I am so excited to see them come together. We had about 50 players at tryouts.

The three coaches for the 95 and 96 age groups clearly have created enough interest amongst female players to come out and represent OR. Meaning the deeper rosters for both ages.

???
Are girls not coming back or have their oppurtunities been limited at U15? Sodium saw a few girls leave but added some, looks as though they will be back to form soon; maybe even stronger. I assume the other teams are doing the same. How many girls are not returning because their team disbanded and they are not comfrotable trying out for another team. Saw a lot of girls trying out at THUSC not all could make it, where do these girls go? Oregon seems more competitive at the older ages, is this because of fewer teams consolidating the talent?

I also wonder why a lot of girls with decent skills on disbanded teams haven't shown up at tryouts. In addition, I think some teams at girls under-15 have a stigma or stereotype attached to them that scares parents off from having their girls tryout. My daughtér has tried out the last two years at Lake Oswego, and the misinformation I hear about this club is amazing-snobby, spoiled, rude parents, etc. This couldn't be further from the truth. I wonder if this exists at other tryouts for FC Portland, East Side, and other teams?

With the economy at its worst, we could not afford ODP.......we had to make a choice, club or ODP assuming our child would make it. How many other families are in the same boat is hard to tell. As for LO, the players and parents are the nicest group of people we have experienced in club. Too many stigmas attached to teams, and it is a shame.

U'15 is usually the time where kids stick with club soccer or decide they want to play other sports and try other activities in high school. The nature of the club soccer calendar means it is virtually impossible to do many other things and still be giving 100% to the club team.
