Why wasn't the transfer of the Rage player allowed? I heard WSM had already picked up 2 players from the Timbers Team in Vanc.

Looks like Gallium couldn't beat the Timbers this time. I heard they had some Onyx guest players as well. Great job to all the kids in the tournament!

We had 2 onyx players against the timbers, we played some of our worst soccer today they just couldn't get anything going today. At least they held them to just 2 goals and it actually should have been 2 to 1 a goal went in hit the inside top of the net and bounced out. Oh well that is how it goes. Looks like lake oswego might have got into a groove now with all their new players they should easily win this. I have to say I think the timbers have made some adjustments to their roster and positions since the last tournament they did some good things and look better.

great to hear that the teams are doing so well.

I am curious since i do not have a child in the tournament this year how is it being ran?
I haven't heard any complaints so it sounds like they were able to fix any problems they had last year.

I don't think that person was being negative. I think they were being honest. I would tend to agree. Other than LO there isn't much competition in that division.

U13 G Gold Final

Usonians scored very late (about 1 min remaining) to win 2-1. Very even game. Both teams had a few opportunities but didn't convert. Usonians controlled the 1st half. Crush really played well in the 2nd half.

Should be a good season for both teams, depending on how rosters settle in. Rumors that Usonians are still adding.....and Crush may be losing a couple.

Crush has lost (at least temporarily) their goalie, but the backup (now full time) has been doing an outstanding job. The big center defender is moving this next week to Texas. They are on the lookout for replacements. There are a couple of girls from Aftershock that have been subbing lately that will most likely move up if worthy. Can't say how the game would have turned out had their center D been there and not on holiday and the lil U12 girl that normally plays up front would have been in her position.

Usoniums played a great game with notable help from the two Timbers girls and the Rage girl. If they roster them, then more power to them for their win today. If they don't, then fine job for stacking the team for the tourney win with three ODP players.

Gain some perspective

the chinook cup is a local kiddie tournament....no big guns from across the U.S.A attend the annual neighborhood tourney....it's the middle of august and many families are on vacation. Guest players are the norm...whoopee so called oregon odp players are playing in chinook cup...that's really impressive....learn to deal with reality your team lost and the better team won...move on...if you want to get better at the game you need to have the kids deal with the fact/reality that there are better players out there and you need to improve...or you can continue to live in fantasy land.

Perspective

I was there watching with a group of parents from another team and I think the SS summation was pretty good. They congratulated the Usonians and said they are looking for new players. Not sure what else their is to say.
As all these players get older every team will be looking to improve their rosters as well as their play on the field.

local kiddie tournament

just about every tournament in oregon is a local kiddie tournament. relax dude. the guy just made a couple comments about usonians using some guests in order to help get the win. they must have felt winning the kiddie tourney was more important than the other teams that were playing. from the sounds of it, both teams played decent.

I see Lake O Lightning won the U12 Chinook Cup. Congratulations. They should thank Sherwood, Onyx, and Nemesis for not showing up to allow them a chance!
