    Mustang Stampede

What Oregon teams do you think have a shot at the Mustang Stampede, or can make to the finals. If there are any then what age group are they and what is there team name?

My guess is that you're not from Oregon. If they made it into Mustang Stampede, they must be good. Just count on 11 players showing up and putting on a great game...Oregon style!

We as a state agreed to just send #10 from THUSC Onyx to represent all of us as she is the best CM in the state.

Predicting Sodium v. Rush in an All-Oregon U15 final. Piece of cake! All they will have to do is beat the no. 1 and 2 teams in the country.

                  Mustang roundup..

Congrats to THUSC Sodium for reaching the final in the U15 division of the 2010 Mustang Stampede this past weekend! Way to represent!

You can watch the goal highlights here:
                  http://montevideo-soccer.***********...sc-sodium.html

A handball in the box (and PK) is a cruel way to lose it!

Congrats to Sodium on a great tourney. And congrats to THUSC Onyx who won finished first in group play and advanced to quarterfinals only to lose to the Norcal State Champ and eventual tournament champs.

Tale of the tape. To THUSC, it's a "weak" and "terrible" call. I think to most others it's an obvious handball. Unfortunate, yes, but a call that is going to be made 95% of the time.

I don't believe anyone from THUSC made the remark "weak" and nowhere did I read anything about a "terrible" call. The problem was the call for the corner kick that lead to the handball. Our center defense shielded their forward for several feet as the ball went out the back line. The AR called a corner. Why would the defender shield the forward if she had touched the ball? Why wouldn't she play it? Or at least clear it off the sideline for a throw in at best? IMHO that is where the mistake was made.

Oh well, the team played good, had a great showing for Oregon and are now off to high school.

Best of luck to all at club and high school tryouts! :)

I misquoted. Two "blown" calls I believe you said, not "terrible." I'm assuming one was the handball. Terrific showing by THUSC, and congrats to all NW teams, three of whom made it to the quarters, two to the semis (where they played each other).
