There are a lot of good girls teams around but I was wondering which one is the best. And if they are good then do they have fitness?

Girls Teams
I think that Thusc is the best and then probably Lake Oswego. I think they both have conditioning.

Thusc has conditioning, lake oswego doesn't as far as I know because when talking to coaches there about a girls team they said they didn't.

I believe there are several great options for girls. Some of it would depend on where you live. I think all clubs offer some sort of fitness training, this is somewhat dependent on the age group. You can't measure everything by number of wins. I would look at the coaching staff, playing time, geography and try to find the best fit. I think you are better off in the long run at one of the larger clubs: FC Portland, Westside, ESUFC, LO, and THUSC.

If your goal is to send your daughter to college, history has shown that FC Portland and Lake Oswego send the most players consistantly. THUSC has select teams like Neon but they are not consistant with all teams. That may be changing though starting with Sodium on down.
My advice is to figure out what your daughter wants in the long term and base your decision on that. Then find a team that fits what you are looking for. Read any of the previous posts and you will see some strong opinions of all the clubs and teams :)

Like mentioned above Portland area has some great clubs to choose from. As of 2010 the THUSC club is White Hot on the girls side. I do not have a crystal ball but if I was a betting person the LOSC/SSC merger is going to turn out very strong to dominating teams in the 2011/2012 seasons. Fitness is a newer Idea to Oregon soccer clubs. There is another thread about High school tryouts dates and fee schedule check it out. The THUSC club offers fitness and is bargain priced compared to clubs who do not offer fitness programs.
With LO/SSC merger is going to be a huge shot in the arm for LO soccer program a powerhouse indeed in years to come.

Shot or not?

I am just asking, but will this hurt SS to know that everything is going to be run by LO after the age of 15? Wouldn't you have a better chance just to play at LO from the start.
I am guessing for the Top players this would not be a problem, it is the bubble players that may get shutout in the end.

At the early ages all the bigger clubs will be fine . You need to some research and decide what you want as they all do offer something a little different. (Coaches and style of play.)
Another note, looking into the future there will changes and if you have a very competitive player you will want to look where to align yourself. The merger of LO and SS at the older ages is an example. I imagine you will see the same deal with TM (all girls so far) and WSM (girls side) as they are the same club. We may see more and more of this as Oregon looks to become more competitive.

Fitness?
I would not seek out a club that does strictly fitness. At the youth level whichever club is getting the players the most touches on the ball and developing decision making and technique would be the best club for the money. Fitness is a waste of time and will not develop soccer players. This applies all the way up to U15.

Please do not take me as arrogant or abrasive. I have seen over the years teams in best shape win games and make less mistakes in final minutes of the game. Most clubs that offer fitness is an additional practice during the week. Like I said IMHO.
