Is this the same team that won state cup in 2010? If so what happened to them?

for 60% of the team, no it really hasnt helped that much. but for the 40% that doesnt do any private training or other sports activities it has increased their stamina.

The stress and strain on both players and parents since Regionals has had it's effect.

Summer vacationing has had SOME effect on training and full "starter" rosters since weve been home from Regionals.

New coaching style has taken it's effect on the girls as well. Some are adapting quicker then others, but look for a whole new style and level of play from this team by the time the fall season starts.

SSC Crush is seeking a new goalie. If anyone knows of a quality player looking to play at the highest level at U13 have them call Kibwe at the SSC office 503-968-7197 or email him directly at kibwe@southsidesoccer.org

Crush man thats an awesome name and from what I hear they do "Crush" most other teams. Kickinballz
most teams at SSC have done some sort of conditioning outside their normal team training. I dont know that it's a club wide rule, but to stay in top shape you gotta do it.

            Goalie

SSC Crush is seeking a new goalie

What this post does not mention is that there last Goalie literally walked off the field during a Match in their last Tournament. Apparently something was said to her by a Team mate late in the Match when they were down 3-0 at halftime. SSC has also lost one of their best defenders due to her Father getting a job in Texas.

This poster also seems to be questioning their Coach quite a bit...hhhmmm...Maybe this person should find a club where the Coach meets their requirements.

Dont you just love how the haters come out after 9pm ??

Your obviously close to the team yourself. What ever the reason, there is NO excuse for any player to just abandon their team in the middle of the game and just walk off the field and sit with their parents (even if your an eleven year old girl and your dad is employed at the club office). You raise your hand and ask to be sub'd off or bite your tongue, do your best and talk to the coach/player(s) afterwards.

The loss of the defender is going to be hard to replace. There are several players on the Aftershock "B" team that Im sure will do a good job. The team has almost a full year to get it worked out before the finals next April.

I believe that Kibwe is the answer. He has the experience and skills to rebound this team. He is pushing them now to determine those that will fall by the wayside and those that will rise to a level he needs them to be at if they are to compete.

Why is just stating the facts that you agree too considered hateful?

SSC is a good team that has hit a rough patch...pretty simple stuff which hate has nothing to do with.

Anyone that has watched the SSC play this year can easily see Kibwe has been coaching them. The fact that 6 months later the players are still adapting to his style is interesting. The fact that players are walking off the field and quitting is even more interesting.

Kibwe did not start coaching them til after regionals. that is only 1.5 months.

get your facts straight before you spew such rhetoric. your only showing your ignorance

he may have been helping with team drills, but it was still Ron that was at the helm thru state cup

Game coaching is one thing, daily training is another.

It was previously stated by a SSC parent that he was running drills in practice.

Kibwe took over as assistant coach after the winter break and the two of them ran drills together. However, it was Ron that was at the helm at all times. If Ron was absent, Kibwe was still following Ron's lineup and directions.

The training drills and exercises are totally different now. Aggression, tactics and speed are a top priority this summer.

Just out of curiosity, what was the main priority before? I would think aggression, tactics, and speed of play would always be near the top. Was Ron not doing a good job of coaching?
