Summer Tournaments

Who is playing in what tournaments this summer? Below is a list of several I found in Oregon and Cali. If your team is playing in any, lets hear it. What are your initial perceptions? Have you played in it in the past? How were the venues, refs, competition, etc.

U13B playing in LO Cup
and U9B playing in Riverfront (Salem; Cascade Futbol Club). Same weekend so will be fun driving back and forth.

Playing U9B in Salem tournament because LO Cup didn't have a U9B and we are not quiet ready to play up at a U10 level.

Lake Oswego and OPL placement

So, I'm wondering how important are the Nike Cup/Oswego tournament results for the placing of teams in this Fall's OPL league? I am used to the OYSA's qualifying tournament and my understanding is that the OPL will place teams by commitee.

My daughter is playing in the U11 Gold division. We are hoping for a premier assignment next Fall, I'm thinking Lake Oswego will be important towards earning that spot. Am I right?

Summer tournaments in general will help with placement. I think most DOC's know what level their teams are at. Platinum is the top, followed by premier, gold, silver, etc. Plus if your team is placed in the wrong bracket they can always be moved.

Pleasanton Rage is another tournament that I know a few teams are attending (Thusc Mercury and TM Rage)

At U16 last year, Rush and WSM Fury both won their Super Flights.
