U14 Girls tHUSC Sodium wins 3rd State title

Congrats to the Arsenal girls squad, they made a very strong showing and played some great soccer. They had a couple of hard pushes to tie up score on last 10 minutes to tie game, it just was not meant to be. Arsenal gave the best battle in state cup run no if's ands or buts about it. A very classy bunch of athletes.



Way to go Thusc Sodium on your 3rd state title in 4 years. Enjoy the day for all it is meant to be and soak it all in, because it's probably the last State cup you may play in.

Fun game to watch very evenly matched first half of soccer. The second half went to Sodium looked liked they had better conditioning or just wanted to win it more. I hope the injured eastside player in the first half is doing ok.
I agree eastside did apply a power offensive in the last ten minutes. Just did not connect.

Like them or hate them, the fact is pretty simple THUSC Sodium is Oregons Best U-14 Girls.

Yes it appears they can play some sloppy soccer at times. But more impressive they know how to win when it counts. I have not been a fan of Sodium thought they were overrated for a couple of years. But if they are overrated how do they keep winning the state cup games?

It's time for me to eat some crow. I hope it tastes like chicken.

So what happened to the injured player? I was on the far side, saw the ball come out on (my) right side, followed it, then looked back and saw her down? What actually happened? Is she OK? Surely hope so.

This has got to be one of the dumbest things ever written on here. Thanks for the laugh! Regardless of what you think of Sodium, but the FACTs you state are simply that the "best" teams coaches all told their teams to go out and lose? They spent all that money in fees so they can coach losers, on purose?

The Eastside player actually came back in the game shortly in the second half. She had a scare but it looks like she should be ok.

Post number five is clearly Poppycock! My daughter does not play for Sodium, but she hopes to, and we've visited every game since QF's. It is absurd to assume that any of the girls competing against Sodium wanted to lose, even if they were instructed to. We'll be sure not to tryout for those teams... This is good to know not to play any summer tournaments with those teams!

Oh good. We were worried on the sidelines since she was so long on the ground and then sat up on the hill. Great that she wasn't injured and came back.
