Then when the team seemed out of wind, substitute every player from the bench at the same time in hopes of putting all the fresh legs you could on the field all at once. By doing so, you were replacing strong players (that werent tired) with other strong players from the bench and weaker players for stronger players.
It didnt work and he went back to what worked. Ive never doubted Ron and wont. It isnt in him to throw a game at any cost. it was a plan that sounded logical and might work in older age teams or teams with every player being multi-talented and equally skilled, it didnt work for Crush.
